As far as having to sign someone, I agree, The problem with the buyouts taking weeks is that just means a lot less time to work people into the the Celtics system.

Players have to be bought out by March 1 to be eligible for the playoffs.  It then takes 48 hours for them to clear waivers, I believe, at which point they're unrestricted free agents.

Is there a link to the story? Not bad numbers that he had in the d-league and he has size... so basically we replaced Semih... super but how about replacing Perk?

What the heck. Replaces erden I guess.

Well, he had 3 games this year with 8 blocked shots and 1 with 7 blocks. If he can play some defense, grab some rebounds, and use up 6 fouls he is worth 10 days.

I just hope ainge signs murphy and rip soon.

If he can do nothing else, but block shots for a few games that would be nice. He had 8 blocks against Maine earlier this year.

He was in the Celtics training camp. I've seen him playing a couple of times in the D-League, he's an extremely skinny guy. Reminiscent of Mikki Moore, Rod Benson, that type of player. Less strength than Erden. Good shot-blocker; he also rebounded the ball well in the games I saw - not many guys with his height and length - but I think that in the NBA he'll struggle to keep position for rebounds.
