He has two more years on his deal at 14 million dollars per year. I doubt Cleveland will be able to buy him out at any savings.

I bet Blake didn't like this news.   He had a good on court rapport with Baron.   Now he has to play with two duds.

Woke up early this morning, to see if the storm gives me a snow day.

Sterling traded Baron Davis. What a tool. This guy needs to be stripped of his franchise.

Meanwhile, Cavs fans have to feel a little better today. And they still have that huge TE from the LeBron deal. Maybe they can re-enter talks for Gerald Wallace.

Why is dumping Baron a bad move?

They're not going to the playoffs this year, its better to see if Bledsoe can play.

Because they dumped a lottery pick in order to do it and got back Mo Williams?

Yeah, that was my immediate reaction. But then, looking at the potential cap space freed up, I'm less against it.

But cap space is only as good as what you can get with it. I don't trust Sterling and Company to spend it wisely, when every move they've made has been financially motivated.

Mo Williams is owed a lot less money than Baron, you aren't going to dump his contract for free.

Man I hope they don't buy him out.

Sterling needs to have his ownership revoked.

Although maybe he takes the cap space and tries to sign Chris Paul and trades Kaman for Howard.

Did you ever think you'd see the day when getting traded *from* the Clippers would be seen as bad for your career?

Baron's career was done in by health/conditioning/attitude issues years ago.

Baron is a cancer. Clippers messed up signing him and decided to cut their losses. The Clippers do not need an erratic veteran who only plays when he wants to and who completely lacks professionalism.

Insert Celtics for Clippers in your last sentence and I'd think you'd be talking about Jermaine O'Neal.

How has Jermaine O'Neal been unprofessional?

This deal is decent for the Clippers. Shed deadweight and the upcoming draft class is weak as anything.

Don't understand the Baron deserved better stuff either. He has been a huge disappointment his whole career, including and especially in Los Angeles.  He's been paid a large sum of money and hasn't lived up to it.
