Ah, there was this crazy idea posted a week ago...

Boston gets: Andrei Kirilenko and Earl Watson

Milwaukee gets: Al Jefferson and Nate Robinson

Utah gets: Maggette, Drew Gooden, J. O'Neal, Glen Davis, Avery Bradley, Milwaukee's #1

Boston gets a good defender with all-around skills to back up the 3 and 4, plus a competent back up 1. They do add $4.3M in salary, which of course doubles with the lux tax.

Milwaukee gets the offense it needs and manages to (barely) stay under the luxury tax. It gets rid of the multi-year deals of Maggette and Gooden, and Big Al finally gets a good front-court match with Bogut.

Utah manages to get under the luxury tax with this deal, shedding nearly $6M, which is effectively $12M - serious dough. They get some pretty good players in Maggette, Gooden, and Big Baby, and a decent prospect in Bradley. They don't even have to waive anyone because they have roster space. I figure they're headed nowhere without Sloan anyway.

Nets acquisition of DW a much better deal than Knick's acquisition of Melo. Let's see how much Amare likes sharing the ball with his buddy.

As a big fan of Larry H. Miller, he has to be rolling over right now.  This situation in SLC is going from bad to worse.
agreed, junior has really changed the face of that franchise
only good thing might be he let sloan know he was going to kill the franchise and allowed jerry to leave there before it got REALLY ugly

how about

kirilenko and favors

for

davis,erden,robinson,daniels,jo and first round

we get 17mil expiring plus great fit for us now in kirilenko and the guy who could be the next great PF in the league but we would have to give up some good players plus maybe picks

I would not give up ability now for a prospect.  We have a chance to win a title now, and Davis is a big part of that, I am not willing to part with him.  Erden is also important, we NEED depth at the five with lingering injuries to the O'Neal twins, and Perk's bruised knee.

EDIT: Why is nobody discussing CJ Miles?  He is a GREAT player for his value.

I've always thought that the opportunity to get Al Jeff back to learn some defensive accountability would be the best of every possible world.  He would more than supplement Big Baby's absence.  Give them Nate, Baby, JO, and whatever.

Bring Back Big Al!  (To learn defense)

Boston trades:  JO, Nate, Semih

Utah trades:  Big Al

Get it done! ;)

Hopefully it's just a lot of bad luck but I keep wondering if he's an NBA career loser.

After the Deron trade I would imagine a firesale in Utah is coming. First Sloan, then Deron. I wouldnt be surprised to see Jefferson or Millsap be traded to anyone thats offering them anything that more youthful than those two (which would be hard.)

If he is available, I would certainly kick the tires.  Although I think he would be low on Dannys list because of the two years remaining on his contract.
