Huh ... that was unexpected.

I can't believe Utah cut ties with Deron Williams so early ... so soon before 2012.

Big risk for Utah. Favors is still very raw. I wonder if they couldn't have gotten a more proven top tier prospect / player elsewhere.

New Jersey are still in a dodgy situation. This doesn't resurrect their flailing franchise but it will give them some hope for better days. They still need to acquire another major star to play alongside Deron Williams and Brook Lopez because those two aren't enough by themselves.

Curious to see how this shakes out.  Big Al, Milsap, and Favors aren't a great fit together.  Who is the third team?

Wow. I didn't see that coming, though maybe I should have.

Also, is Jerry Sloan walking back through that door?

I thought they were choosing between Williams and Sloan. Come to find out it was management that pushed them BOTH out the door.

Talk about obvious rebuilding.

Cant say I blame them. Even with a core of Williams and boozer they were not a contender.

Sloan must have known they were about to clean house.

Wouldn't Favors give them someone with defensive potential that could offset Big Al's shortcomings? I'm honestly asking because I've seen no Nets games and am going on only what I've heard.

Wow.  I guess Deron really wants out of Utah.  This makes Utah considerably worse.  The Eastern conference is pretty quickly balancing out with the West, though.  Seems as though all the talent is coming from over there to over here.

Wow.  Thought this was another crazy rumor til I clicked the link.  Um, very surprising, Utah and D-Will must be pretty mutually sick of one another to make this move.

Looks like New Jersey is making a splash after all, and Utah is apparently gonna blow the whole thing up.  The talent drain to the East continues.

Woj says the deal is "done".  Reports are that Golden State is the third team, although it's not clear if they're sending anything to Utah, or if it's just the previously reported Murphy deal.
