in the event we dont find a quis replacement. im hoping somebody can explain this to me.

marquis is listed as 6'6. von is listed as 6'5. dwest is listed as 6'4.

kobe is 6'7, lebron is 6'8, pierce is 6'7.

im sitting here with a ruler in my hand looking at the difference in 4 inches. it really isnt much.

why is the difference between 6'5 on von so much of a difference than 6'6 or 6'7 on the guys we are targeting? i get that von isnt as strong as quis (altho quis never looked all that strong to me), but does he really give us that much of a disadvantage compared to quis?

The difference is in reach, length, and overall strength. One inch of height can mean longer arms, or bigger bulk, etc...

Daniels is a stronger player who also plays much more fundamentally sound defense.

Length, wingspan, jumping ability. It really does make a huge difference. Think about last year, 6 foot 8 Big Baby getting 28% of his shots blocked by guys that were only 3 or 4 inches taller than him.
