Marcus Thornton and David Andersen would be heading to Sacto in exchange.

Seems like a decent deal for both teams.

i think Sac makes out here.  I like Landry's game, but he is getting older and his best days are likely behind him.  Thornton and (maybe) andersen still have some upside...I think

Don't know much about Andersen, but he seems to have made the circuit around the league. What is this, his fourth or fifth team? I wonder if he might be a buyout candidate.

Will Thornton be Evans' backcourt mate, or backup? I guess we'll have to wait a while to find out (Evans out 3 weeks with a foot injury).

Addition by subtraction for the Kings. Landry can produce but he's not useful on that team.

Good deal for both teams.  Landry should be a good backup for West, and Thornton is a nice player to compliment Sacramento's young core.

I personally think this is a terrible deal for both teams. Sactown could have gotten much more value for Landry, and I think Landry and West play very similar games and neither give them the length that the Hornets need most.

Marc Spears mentioned on twitter that David Andersen is not a part of this deal. Hornets will send Thornton + cash for Carl Landry.

Yeah I don't like this deal for New Orleans.

Doesn't work under the CBA. Thorton's salary is too small.

Unless NO uses the TE from the Peja trade, in which case it has to be Landry for pick(s)/cash in one deal, and Thornton for pick(s)/cash in a follow-up.

Seems like Marc Spears is off his rocker today...reporting everything that comes his way without checking/verifying...and I'm passing it along like an idiot. :D

Terrific trade for New Orleans. Carl Landry will give them a very strong sixth man who will greatly improve their bench.

Strange trade for Sacramento. I thought Tyreke Evans was logging all his minutes at the two these days. Where is Marcus Thornton going to play? Is Tyreke heading back to the point? Or will he be matched up against small forwards now?

Still, talent wise -- particularly since Landry was a horrid fit + his contract was up at the end of the season and it made no sense to keep him -- Sacramento did very well here. A little perplexed at how they plan to use Thornton, but a talented addition nonetheless.

I think Landry's value is fairly low at the moment. He hasn't been successful enough with his increased role since leaving Houston + his contract is up at the end of the season and he'll be asking for a major pay rise which will make teams uncomfortable (at least $6-7mil a year, possibly $7-8 mil a year).

I don't think they could have done any better than Marcus Thornton.
