Here's a fun question:  Does Ellsbury have chance at winning the AL MVP if the Sox don't make it to the playoffs, even though his season has been historically great?

Aceves has been ridiculously valuable to the Sox.

Aceves and Papelbon are the only reliable pitchers on the team at the moment.

Regardless of the paths it took to get here it's a pretty amazing night of MLB baseball - lots of stuff going on around the league.

Yeah, its been crazy and pretty cool to follow.  The National League stuff has been pretty good too.

Yikes...just looked at the Yankee box score and saw Girardi pulled Swisher, Cano, Texiera and Jones. Looks like the Red Sox will have to rely on the Yanks AAA team beating the Rays.

That is going to be one silly looking box score.  11 pitchers and lord knows how many batters.
