It has to be Bradley since we must keep Erden.

I'd trade Semih since Bradley has more potential upside for the future.  Neither of them are going to get playoff minutes.  Only chance Semih could sneak in is if Jermaine doesn't come back and he's ruled out for certain.  But even with Perk and Shaq, plus BBD to fill in some minutes there is no time or need for Semih in the playoffs.

At any rate I'd trade either or both of them if it gets us the right piece for this year.

Neither.  They're both keepers as far as I'm concerned.

bradley. We need bigs for the rebuilding phase for the future. We already have Rondo and West.

I'd trade Bradley. Semih has had some very positive performances for us so far, and has proven himself to be a nice addition to this team, (plus, we need bigs, obviously). I like what I've seen of Bradley, but that has been very little. He's just much more of a question mark than Erden is at this point, and too big a roll of the dice.

I would trade Erden (soft hands? maybe after he actually catches it)  due to Bradley's upside being higher.  But only after knowing for sure that they will have 1 of at least 2 of the O'neals for the rest of the season (I think eventually they will have both) which would put his minutes this year at 0. I like Erden's athleticism for someone his size and when he actually looks at the rim he finishes pretty well.  My feelings are more about keeping Bradley than getting rid of Erden though.  A case could be made for Bradley to be moved though if you try and project a Rondo/Bradley back court which at this stage in their developments doesn't look promising.  I think when people look at Bradley right now they see Pruitt but, the only thing comparable about them are the fact that they are tweeners (SGs in PG's body) at best.  Pruitt doesn't have Bradley's upper body strength, speed, or quickness all of which could make him a nightmare for the rest of the league on defensive side of the ball.

Definitely Bradley. I don't think he has much of a future in the NBA, while Erden has already proven he does.  At worst, Erden will be a serviceable back up 5, which has real value, especially with the propensity for injuries at the position.  Bradley is an undersized 2 guard (will never be a PG, just does not have the handle) who can't shoot very well but plays awesome defense.  Sorry, that just does not cut it in this league.

This question shouldn't be answered unless we know what we're getting.

Either is expendable in the right deal for the right player, but if I get to chosse I keep Semih at this stage. This based just on the current season and my perceived need for insurance at the big.

I just dont want the nightmare of going into the playoffs with Perk, KG and Davis the only healthy bigs on our roster. (I will not even consider Harangody at this point)

Who will hang their hat on the O Neal(s) to either or both be healthy 'enough' to give us more than Sheed in the playoffs? Not saying Semih is better than Sheed, but the depth he provides is more reassuring for me than what we get from Bradley.

  • You say when......
Easy one we have guards we are short on Centers. Erden has shown growth and potential. When healthy i wish doc would run a few plays for him. Get him the ball in the paint 10 times in a game and back him up if it doesn't work immediately...!

I'd prefer to keep both. Erden has proven he can be a legitimate back up center in this league. Even if he's only a 3rd string back up, that is very valuable. He moves his feet very well for a big guy, finishes strong at the rim, plays long and isn't afraid to mix it up at all. Also a decent passer and he will get better at finishing around the rim.

If you told me Perkins and Erden would be my center rotation moving forward, I'd be ok with that cause I think he'll improve more in 1-2 years.

I like Bradley beacause, like Perkins, he brings something that is so rare. True defensive ability at his position. This kid is basically a sophomore in college and he is already, in my opinion one of the most aggressive and talented on ball defenders I've seen. He also has offensive ability, it will just take a few years to develope, maybe we should wait until he's 21 before we cast him off.

Nah, I'd keep both, like others I'd rather trade Quisy and a 1st round pick for Parker. That'as a good deal for Cleveland. They need picks to rebuild and Parker is walking at the end of this year anyway to another team. He's also 35, I'm not giving up Erden or Bradley for that.

Also, there will be someone who's bought out that will come over and give us close to whatever Parker will give us if we traded for him.
