I don't see how a team's 6th best big man can be off limits. I know we're injured, but Semih has been Shelden Williams 2.0 production wise.

Because he could be at the very least be a stop-gap for the team in the future, even if you don't think he can be part of the foundation.

I always wondered how teams could prove they "began" talks before 3PM....do they let the NBA Front Office listen in on all of the team's offices or calls or something?

I think they do, if talks are progressing and the deadline is coming up.

Totally disagree! This season is as good a season as any to win banner 18. Parker gives us a much better chance at doing that than Semih. Let's stop thinking so much about the future.

anthony parker lol, he is a dleague player. there's noone other than maybe harangody and marquis (the latter having season ending injury)I would trade if I was desperate...no picks, and no not our only young big semih.

Just because he's young, doesn't make him untouchable.

I'm with those that haven't been that impressed with Parker.

I'm sure he will look/play better on a better team, but is he the best available option?

He's 35 years old.  If he's not getting bought out, we should not trade for him.

A healthy 35 year old Parker is better than an injured 30 year old Daniels.

Parker was an excellent NBA role-player in his prime (actually a bit past it). Excellent defender and shooter, solid all-around. Very smart player. He was a top-3 piece for a Raptors team that almost won 50 games. In his 20s he was also a very athletic finisher.

However, age caused his defense to decline so dramatically that I think I'd rather go after Jamario Moon.

I disagree. Moon is a worse choice. He hasn't even been a consistent rotation player for the Cavs...he is more like Mikki Moore in a SF body...similar build..similar ball IQ.

Scott has made some bad options this year.

Moon is a poor solution as the first wing off the bench, but he's a fairly good rebounder (actually he may be as good rebounding wise as Moore, in spite of the difference in positions/size) and a decent defender. The biggest problem is the lack of a reliable jump-shot, but I'm not sure that should outweigh the rest. A couple of years ago, Parker was clearly a better player. And he still is (not clearly any more), but what Moon can do is arguably more useful to Boston.
