rockets need a big man, they do this trade they keep courtney leigh, they are 5 games behind utah for the last playoff spot(i don't see the making it) and omer asik isn't better than a healthy jermaine (next year).they already have 28 million in expirings next year, with daniels it would be 30 million, don't think they are afraid of adding salary next year since jermaine will be in his final year.

I doubt that is the best they can get.
1 Lets face it there is a chance that niether of them will ever contribute again.
2 I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure that BAttier is expiring too.
3 It doesn't apply any of thier needs either. They have enough injured centers.

I think the only things we can give them (short of Davis) that they want is Bradley, Wafer (doubtful they want him since they cut him), Luke, and Semih. Clearly, there will have to be a salary filler to make the trade work but no trade is gonna happen if at least1 of those are involved. They are rebuilding and don't need injured players.

They need a big man that can play.

This does not give them a single player that is healthy enough to play now.

How about this:http://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/5850499 ?

Boston gets Battier and roster flexibility.

Houston gets Semih (if they were gonna take Asik, they will take Semih), Quis, Nate and Bradley. They buyout MD, and if OK he comes back to us. Nate will make Brooks more expendable than he already is and Brooks can be turned into another asset. Bradley is like getting a first round draft pick.

Battier is expiring, so they won't be looking to dump him.  If they trade him, it will be for talent to improve the team.

Erden might be palatable to them, since big men don't grow on trees.  However, they'd have to take back more salary.  And there's no way that they're taking on two years of Jermaine to give us Battier and only take back Erden.

It would likely take BBD, and I don't even think they really want him.  They already have undersized big men in Scola and Hayes.
