This is a bold move most of you won't agree with.
Perk has not signed his extension wanting more then the 7.5m offered.

Boston will not get into a bidding war for Perk other teams will go after him.
trade with the Thunder Green for Perk will work give us a versatile player who can play 2,3 and 4 true scorer. check the link below to see how this works for both teams.

We make a move to trade Bradley 19th pick and davis to the 76ers for Turner 2nd pick overall. we might have to add a 1st rd pick.

Having Turner coming behind Pierce and Ray for 1 1/2 seasons this could could show the talent everyones been waiting to see.
our new squad would be the same minus Perk, Davis and Bradley.

Rondo
Ray
Paul
Garnett
Shaq

with...........
Nate/West
Wafer/Turner
Green
Erden/ J. O'Neal

Philadelphia would have no interest in this deal. Evan Turner is far more valuable than that.

Oklahoma would consider a Perk for Green trade. That might have some legs to it.

Not getting Turner. Which would then have us keep Baby making Green not very useful. Would rather have Perk anyway. Has played with the Celtics system for 8 years, he is a legit defensive center, something thats awfully hard to find in this league, and has great chemistry with the big three making him far more valuable than green would be.

Theres always Memphis O.J Mayo maybe Ainge could put something together. However Green can play a few positions so he's the main focus.

Perkins is a hard player to replace but at what cost. Turning down the 7.5 will boston entertain that. or roll the dice Green is the best Player available.

Green would be a 6th man but keep in mind the big three will be no more in a few seasons 2012 at the most. We have to rebuild at some time we have enough bigs if they could get healthy.

Why would we trade away the 2nd best defensive center for a 6th man when we already have a 6th man of the year candidate. I know we need a sf, but we don't need to give up the farm for one.

i think we'll eventually resign perk idk what kinda offer perk is looking for though at least from contenders he wont get nothing more than the MLE if they even have that after the new CBA perk's talents are ment for a championship team not a below 500 team which are the only teams that can offer them more, hopefully perk stays in green

Trade a quality starting center for a backup wing?  I don't think so!

I expect Perk to resign with the C's for more than they are allowed to pay this year, but less than he could get on the open market.

Perk turned down a deal that was between $22 and $23.4 million, which is less than $6 million per season.  That's the most the Celtics can offer him for an extension right now, but that changes after the season.  I wouldn't read anything into the rejection, since Perk has repeatedly indicated he wants to be back.

I don't think we can afford to move Perk, since he's our only healthy center.  Moving him basically ends our season (and most likely, next season, too).  Philly wouldn't move Turner for a bench guy (who will be a free agent), but even if they would, I don't think we can afford to sacrifice size.

The Celtics are an old team, but they're contenders now, and probably will be next year.  I don't think it makes sense to get worse in the short term just to start the rebuilding process sooner.

It especially doesn't make sense to start the proccess with anything less than a 'sure thing' prospect. It's still unclear how big of an impact we can expect out of this guy.

You're penciling Shaq in as a starter? If only it were so easy...

Not going to work

1)  Celtics are not going to trade their starting C to get a backup SF.

2)  The 76ers are not going to trade the 2nd pick of the past draft for the 19th pick of the draft and a reserve PF.

Interesting to note that we essentially would be getting back that pick that was one of the main pieces we traded away in acquiring Ray Allen
