This is really cleaning out unused trash for both teams and seeing if a fresh scenario might help both players.

So they would want to trade in conference for a player who's going to be out until april?? I highly doubt it

So? Just cause hes not playing doesnt mean they'll just up and trade him for a player that physically cant play. How does this help Philly at all?

How would a fresh scenario help JO get healthy?  If anything he'd come back sooner in Boston where he'd be on a team that doesn't suck.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Nocioni is useless on a defensive minded basketball team.

Nobody is going to trade for J.O.

His career is dead, and right now he is the worst contract/player in the NBA. He is a walking zombie, no game left whatsoever, it would be a huge mistake for any franchise to take J.O.

Were going to have to ride this season out with him and hope he retires in the off season, he doesent really have a choice, his body cant take walking up stairs i heard.

Are you guys kidding me?

Why do you say that?  Nocioni is actually a good defensive player.  He can defend 3's very physically.

Worst contract/player in the NBA?  Ummm... Gilbert Arenas?  Rashard Lewish?  What ridiculous hyperbole that statement was.

One reason? It'd save Phili $2.3 mil.

Or this:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4dxjdng

which would save them more like $3mil this year and next.

I'm not saying it's likely, but it's hardly the most far fetched scenario in the world. Jermaine would probably just retire, which would save Phili a boatload.

Of all the bad Nocioni trades I've seen on here, this is about the only way I'd acquire him.

I like this trade considerably more for both teams.  We get a reserve center back in the deal and Philly saves $300,000 more this season plus gets to fill one of their roster spots for VERY cheap next season.  Not sure if Philly does it yet, but they are definitely closer.

A trade like this could be possible if the Celtics really are looking for a 3 (or listening to offers that would net them a 3). I dunno if the Kings do this, though.
