i was never really sure if he was on the block at all this season but an article on nba.com is saying he is among others

"Whether it gets done with 'Melo, a number of others could be on the move. O.J. Mayo (Memphis), Antawn Jamison (Cleveland), Troy Murphy (New Jersey), Eddy Curry (New York), Andre Miller (Portland), Corey Maggette (Milwaukee), and Detroit teammates Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince are among those actively being shopped, according to league sources".

heres the link guys
http://www.nba.com/2011/news/features/art_garcia/02/13/kerr-trade-observations/index.html

and a quick qoute here about the celtics

"There's a pretty good chance he's done for the year," Kerr said. "They're pretty thin at the backup 3. Even when Delonte West comes back, he's more of a combo guard. I think Boston would love to get backup 3. I don't know who that would be."

"It would have to be someone with some length who is willing to fit a role and play defense. One player that could make sense is swingman Rasual Butler, who's sitting at the end of the Los Angeles Clippers bench and has a reasonable contract ($2.4 million)".

im really pulling for danny to try & pursue prince he fits the club sooo well
with teyshauns salary i see us having to give up nate/j.o & bradley probably 2 or 3 picks to sweeten the deal since j.o would likely get bought out

thoughts guys??? same offer for rip as well since detriots dying to get him off the squad

I think most people agree that Prince would be the ideal guy for us to fill this role.

Hope we can get it done, if not Butler doesnt sound bad either.

I have met Prince and I can tell you he's very short, has modest manners, would be probably pretty bad for team chemistry, and should definitely stick to music

Prince is too weak for this team.

Id rather take my chances with Wafer/Daniels to be honest.

Prince isnt the answer were looking for.

I'd rather have Butler.  Good defender, heady player, can knock down shots.

Prince has excellent value as a Championship-calibre starter who can play at a high level on both ends of the floor.  And he makes 11 mil.  And he's an expiring contract. I see no scenario in which he ends up in Boston other than buyout which would be foolish by Detroit (they can at least swap him for an expiring and a pick).

Rasual Butler is a shooting specialist who can't shoot all that well (career 50% TS%).
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

If Prince was really attainable, I would strongly disagree.  Far, far superior player to either Wafer or Daniels and better than anyone on the C's bench for that matter.

He'd def be an upgrade at the backup 3 spot, but I don't see any scenario where it makes sense to bring him here. Salaries don't match (unless JO is thrown in, but why in the world would Detroit trade for him?)

We don't have enough assets that'll please Detroit...but that said, I'll pray we land an average/good back up SF. It's our most obvious need.
