It's amazing how everyone was saying today would be brutal, a bloodbath even. At halftime, people were sayin that game was over already. And we still win?

Really, Boston needs to adopt Miami's "Fan Up" campaign asap.

Not everyone said it would be a bloodbath.

C's played tough as they usually do and went on to grind out the W.

I am here because I love Shaq but I hate the Celtics. The Celtics are just a better TEAM in all the games with Miami this year.

Miami is my team but those  turnovers and that horrible 3rd quarter lost this game.

If I am Boston, I am somewhat worried that you had such an amazing 3rd quarter and barely won this game.

Keep in mind, I still think down the stretch the Heat will take sole possession of the first seed and regular season games don't mean anything in a playoff series.

You can't be serious.

If I'm miami, I'm worried that I just got beat by an injury depleted team. I'm worried that boston still beat me w/o key players and pp having 1 pt.

Your only hope in the playoffs against us is if Stern picks up the red phone and dials joey Crawford. I can see it now, instead of the bat signal, it would be a dollar sign used as the clue for Joey and the gang.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

I wouldn't go that far. Miami is still a scary team. Any team with Wade AND Lebron worries me. I still think we beat them in a playoff series but I think they are the only team that could possibly stop us in the East.

Not everyone, but far too many fans were ready to call out sick today. There's a reason we actually play the games, folks... As a fanbase, we can & should be MUCH better. That's all I'm really trying to say.

I am not making any predictions but all of you just dismissing the Heat like this come May just may be eating crow. I will admit right now Boston is clearly the better TEAM, but none of you won't give Miami props for their great record after that average start.

I thought the Heat in 2006 couldn't beat the Pistons, hell the Pistons owned the Heat. What happened? Miami won in 6. I am not one to look into the future but to dismiss a team with James, Wade and Bosh is not only ignorant but stupid.

not me. a full compliment of players and boston wins. the heat have individual stars but they don't play well as a team

The game threads here aren't much different anywhere else. You'll have your highs and lows depending on the game.

It is what it is. What we say here has no bearing on the outcome of a game anyways.

I will admit that i was one saying they were going to clobber us. I'll eat my words indefinitely , i deserve a slap for questioning our team. We played very well, and ide give rondo a big ole hug if i could ... he was essential ALL game. Wafer and bbd came off the bench as well as ever. Very happy with them. Defense really really shined since we were off our usual shooting game. The heat should really take off their red glasses/media glasses/bandwagon glasses/hype glasses/bias ref glasses and see where they stand.
They couldn't beat us when our captain scores 1 point, we shot 20% less then our norm, only had 7 players and got handed some really awful calls in the final 3 minutes ... they should be worried about a ECF especially now since we have the tiebreaker.

Good win tonight, and i can rest easy knowing we stepped up this time around.

we heard after boston won the first time that they needed time together...and the second game would be better...after the second loss..they said wait until they meet in Feb. well the heat are hot...chemistry has been good and they still lost to an undermanned celtics. i am not dimissing any team but i like boston's chances with a full team

Well, Drew...from my standpoint, all we (and the rest of the basketball world) have heard about since Last Summer is MIA Heat and The Los Angeles Lakers.

I think MIA (and LA) are getting plenty of props, myself.

First post!

Awesome win today. Despite the captain's down game, KG, Perk, BBD and Von Wafer had quality games.

Can;t wait until Shaq and Delonte get back
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
