I think Howard may reject the trade.  I don't think he wants to give up his Bird rights. 


no way -- why would he need them? the best thing he could do for his career is go to a playoff team and show he can still perform. that's how guys get $$$.
because you lose sign and trade abilities.  because the team your traded to can only offer you a contract by using their MLE.  because on a contender he isn't play more then 15 minutes a game. 

If he stays in Washington, he will get a lot more minutes, a lot more opportunity to prove he is healthy and can still play, and he doesn't give up his bird rights.
