is kg the dirtiest player in the nba?

My idea of Dirty is Laimbeer or Bowen. Someone how wants to hurt you or get you into a fight to take you out of the game.

Laimbeer wanted to hurt guys but also wanted to fight them.  KG likes to hurt guys without the fighting part.  Bowen is similar.

At lest KG's shots are from the genitals and up.  Bowen's sticking out his foot under the jumpshooter is pretty dangerous.

Why is "wanting to fight them" a good thing? If KG fought people like you view he "should" to be tough, he'd be suspended for a lot of games every year.

His physical play, his aggressiveness is all designed to help his team win. KG getting suspended would contradict that.

I challenge you to show me where KG tries to hurt people, basketball is a physical game. Is Kobe trying to hurt people when he's using elbows, his but, and his off arm to create space?

KG likes to throw elbows after whistles and things like that quite frequently.  No I don't want KG to get suspended, but I don't see the point of all the instigation when everyone knows nothing will result.  Maybe it's just me, but someone like Perk seems to have more bite and less bark.  It seems a little more legit to me.


Kobe isn't trying to hurt people when he creates space, but I've seen him swing his nonshooting hand out after 3 point attempts twice in a two week span, once hitting Mike Miller on the head and once pounding Manu in the nose.  These were both cheap shots and dirty plays similar to what KG does.

Please stop with these anti KG threads, this is ridiculous. KG is and always has been a classy and humble guy, and just because he is intense on the court does NOT make him a dirty player. Why would anyone with REAL knowledge of the game of basketball call KG a dirty player? IF you think KG is a dirty player, you know NOTHING about NBA basketball and should get lost. Tommy Heinsohn was mentioning this the other night, and I agreed 100% with him, Tommy always calls it like he sees it.

  Yeah, this hand wringing is pretty ridiculous. One ould make a case that Dwight Howard's made as many dirty plays against the Celts over the last few years as KG's made against the other 29 teams in that time frame.

  The only time I can recall Laimbeer getting into a fight was when Parrish pummeled him in the playoffs. And, oddly enough, I don't recall Laimbeer fighting back much. If you haven't seen players get into multiple actual fights (not just a shove here or there) then your claims of who wants to fight and who doesn't is pretty nonsensical. In general "wanting to fight" has always been a sign of an unskilled player.
