for indiana, they get back two former pacers, daniels will be non bird FA if he is traded, jermaine will retire a pacer. They would have to cut one player though or trade one.

celtics, get two players,(pietrus+posey) one has a player option, the other is expiring next year, both are tradeable or at worst they don't exceed the 2012 season, however the luxury tax will increase, plus it opens up a roster spot.

phoenix, (nate)it doesn't change that much for that team, but saves some money.

Decent idea.

Indiana saves a couple million next season and gets a solid backup to Hibbert.

I'm not sure where Nate would fit on Phoenix.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I like this.
Pietrus could be helpful and he is getting no time over in phoenix, he might appreciated a consistent back up role on a contender.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

So just to get this straight and give the break down:

Pacers Trade: Posey
Receive: Quis and Oneal

Celtics Trade: Quis, Oneal, Robinson
Receive: Pietrus and Posey

Suns Trade: Pietrus
Receive: Robinson

i like it, but dont like it at the same time.  Pacers get a good deal for just trading Posey, Suns give away too much to just get robinson, and the Celtics dont need Pietrus and Posey as Pietrus is Posey's clone only much younger and better.

If there was a way to get just Pietrus I would do it in a heartbeat. Pietrus and Posey doesnt help us fill multiple needs it just overkills us at one spot.

Not bad good idea.

Teams don't usually trade to get their old players back though.
