I'm still partial to the idea of acquiring Boris Diaw from Charlotte and filling that 3/4 role that Posey handled for us.  3-pt range, excellent defensive versatility, and all the play-making you could ask for off the bench.  Signed for 2 years, so he doesn't mess with our 2012 offseason.

Very little interest in T-Mac.  Too inefficient offensively, too poor of a defender.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Pietrus would be a GREAT fit. And I think he's pretty gettable (is that a word??).

SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

Carlos Delfino recently returned to the Bucks after missing a lot of time with a concussion.  Daniels, Gody and a pick for Delfino would be something I'd do if he's healthy.  Had a rough year, but traditionally a very physical defender, excellent rebounder, solid 3-pt shooter and a solid drive and kick guy.

Corey Maggette's a much more ambitious target that would be intriguing if Danny's not so keen on 2012 flexibility.  Maggs is still a scoring/free throw machine.  And I'm sure Milwaukee's got buyer's remorse on that contract now that they are 13 games below .500 and going nowhere fast.  JO, Daniels and a pick might be able to get it done.

Don't like Pietrus.  Seems like a low IQ player to me. He makes some dumb plays.  Maybe I haven't seen him enough.  Rather have Prince.

What about Nate, Quis, Luke and a pick to Cavs for Anthony Parker and Jamario Moon.
Parker is solid defender, 3pt shooter, can play SG/SF and Moon is a long, athletic defender.

I'd keep it smaller.  Quis, cash, and a second rounder for Parker.  Parker would be an ideal fit, because he can defend, shoot, and handle the ball a bit, and most importantly, he is smart and experienced enough to step right in and not miss a beat.

I don't think they need a ton, they just need an extra body they can count on, and Parker could be that guy, who they could likely get without giving up too much.

What about Earl Barron? http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/210924/Knicks_May_Acquire_Earl_Barron,

We only have 3 big men to play two positions, and it looks like that will be the case for the immediate future. We can't afford to have KG, Perk or Baby get worn down/injured or we're really fornicated. JO may never help us again this year, and will be out at least another two months. Shaq is in a boot, and given how Belichekian the Cs are with their injuries, who knows how seriuos it is. Semih has both a groin pull and a bad shoulder.

We need immediate help at the 5. Earl Barron is available for free. The only problem is who do we cut? Quis makes the most sense from a useful perspective. I think he's done for good, never mind contributing this year. However his contract is one that can be more useful in a trade than Harangody's.

Cut Gody and get Earl Barron. You can always bring Gody back if we do a 3 for 2 or a 2 for 1 for a wing to open up a roster space.

Diaw looks way out of shape

I think he has always looked that way.  He has a similar build to Pierce, where he just never looks cut, and always looks a bit heavier than you would expect.  But seeing him play, he is still highly effective.

I really don't see any way the C's trade for him however, because he just makes too much money for them to match salaries.

I'm listening to the Heat v. Celtics postgame show on Weei.  Some dumb caller asks if the Celtics should trade Pierce. And then asks what about trading KG or Ray to bring someone in who could help.

Someone also called to say the problem is the Luke isn't getting playing time. ???

Who are these people!? ::)

They all thinks it's a good idea to trade davis as well.

I wonder how motivated the Cavs would be in making a fair but "friendly" trade with the Celtics that would greatly increase the Celtics chances of making sure Miami doesn't come out of the east this year and maybe next for that matter...
