Anthony Parker for A. Bradly and V. Wafer.

Then sign Sheed with open roster spot.

Another case of overvaluing our own players.

I don't know. Anthony Parker doesn't seem to have a long term future in Cleveland.

Picking up Bradley, a former first round pick, for a veteran that is likely to be discarded at the end of the year ... I think that is a possibility.

Not a terrible trade either way.

Cleveland gets younger with more potential.

Celtics get a role player that can play now.

Cleveland needs to start making moves like this.  What are they holding onto older player for anyways?

I think we could probably get Parker (or Moon if we prefer...I don't) for Daniels' contract, cash, and a second round pick.  Parker is not part of their future, and frankly, they are just going to be trying to lose for the top pick anyways for the rest of the season.  So, send them enough money to cover the rest of Daniels' contract, plus another $1,000,000 for their trouble, and a second round pick, and I think they would gladly make the move.

Wow, I don't see it that way.  I wonder if Parker is enough of an upgrade to even bother with.  I don't think Danny does this trade if offered.

The Celtics can get both for Daniels, Von Wafer and Bradley plus have an open roster spot to sign an extra big (Wallace if he wants) in case JO can't make it back (as protection in case Shaq is hurt come playoff time)

I agree.  With the cryptic comments we have heard about his previous issues with his spinal cord, it really seems like this is when real life trumps sports.  So, I think Danny is working under the assumption he will not be back, and will be using his contract as part of most any trade.

I'd rather hold on to Bradley.  Its not that I have much hope for him becoming much of a player, but I am not sure Moon and Parker are that much better than guys on the scrapheap right now, so I would rather roll the dice that Bradley will build a little more value in the next year or two.  I really think we only need one of them.  Once West comes back, if we can get one other wing, we will be in good shape.

I am thinking two first round picks ... or a future pick well off into the distance that has some protection on it.

For Battier, I think that would be the asking price for Boston. Two first rounders since they're at the end of the first round.

I think a mid-first round to late lottery pick could be enough for Houston to part with Battier.

Any reasoning or quotes to think that Daniels career is now over?

I mean talk about seeing glass completely empty and throwing it out the window....

It could be, but overall I think that's a huge conclusion to jump to. His season could be over, I mean the 1-2 month time table already puts that in peril. But his career?

T.J Ford came back and played, and his issues were even worse than what we've heard about Daniels.

Just my opinion and speculation on his career.  He doesn't come across to me as the type of guy who will risk too much of his health to come back, and that is such a scary injury.

But regardless, the only thing important for this discussion is whether he will be back this season, and reading between the lines, I definitely think it is unlikely.
