He is beasting out right now, hitting everything. 9-12 from field 9-12, from the line. 5 steals.

Up by 3 with a minute in the OT.

Oklahoma State Cowboy takes down the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Really wish he wasn't a moron and stayed with the C's, they could really use him as a backup SF right now.

well apparently he's capable of scoring 27 points while guarding Kevin Durant... maybe he was right.

LOL he's a +23... that's just ridiculous.

27 points, 3 reb, 5 steals, 3 blocks.

well doing this one game every 2-3 seasons doesn't mean he's right in my book. He's a fool for leaving boston, he will never be an all-star.

He didn't say he was. But he could make an All-Defensive team with some starters minutes.

Well, we shall see eventually. He said he was in the shadow of Pierce and Ray, which to me implies he thinks he can be an all-star, but who knows what he thinks.

Tony Allen isn't stupid; he made a smart move. When you get right down to it, this is a guy's career. Team loyalty is good, but not enough to hold onto someone who could make their game (and career) better with some other team.

Awesome play, TA!

He played 40 minutes last night. He couldn't get minutes on the Cs. I can understand wanting the opportunity to play, particularly when you're as talented as Tony.

Considering he can only get minutes in Memphis due to injuries I have my doubts.

The money difference is/was the only reason to leave the Celtics. I understand that, especially when you're a role player in the NBA, you don't get many chances at contracts.

Well he got to the rim pretty easily according to his shot chart, and he hit a decent number of free throws.

When teams aren't disciplined defensively and/or don't have interior defenders Tony can have big nights. His problem was always when teams just shut down his drives in the half court.

Good for Tony.  I was actually hoping we might get him back before he really blossomed again.

He did, didn't he??

And that NBATV highlight where he forced Durant to shoot an airball? Here's a guy that's 6'4" defending 6'10" Durant.

Its tough to get minutes behind Rudy Gay, who just signed franchise player money, as well as OJ Mayo who is a 23 year old they picked 3rd overall a few years ago and before this year was one of their core building blocks for the future.

Tony Allen is a [dang] good player and I think it suits him well to try and prove that and earn a big contract before its too late.  His main problem was he picked the wrong team, with established wings players who were also young.

Also even Danny Ainge said it in an interview.  Money was not the reason that Tony left, because the Celts offered him as much or more than the Grizzlies did.
