I want him sooooo bad but regardless I would love the lakers not having him to guard pierce. If the lakers trade him to a crap team and he was to get bought out he could possibly look for revenge and sign with us. Just an idea

I don't know if LA will make that kind of splash. I expect them to make some kind of move but I don't know what. I heard rumblings that they are interested in Kirk Hinrich by trading Ron-Ron and I remember the Wizards as buying a player or two out every year. One can dream but it will probably be something small. Blake for someone.

The revenge factor is way way way too good to pass up.

A guy that is unhappy starting for a title winning team is going to suddenly be happy coming off the bench of a different soon to be title winning team?

I have my doubts.

I don't want Artest anywhwere near this team. HE was the MVP for game 7 last year. I want to beat HIM more than I want to beat the Fakers collectively for a championship. They were lucky last year, and the sad part is that a lot of their fortune came from cheap shots (Artest kneeing Ray in the thigh and for all intents and purposes taking him out of the series and Bynum/Kobe's high-low tagteam of Perk) and Artest having a career playoff game
performance. The stars were aligned against us.

I don't care what team we beat in the Finals. I just want 18 and having Artest on that losing team would be even sweeter.

We have a very solid locker room/team and you would bring in a certifiable loon.  And not one like Delonte who we know and we know has a good relationship with Shaq and PP.

Pierce, I believe would and should veto any Artest discussion.

I just can't imagine that a Celtic fan would ever want that ~!@#$%^&* in green.

isn't it pretty much impossible for him to get bought out? Too many years and too much money

I have my doubts.

I believe you underestimate how crazy Ron Artest is.

If Ron gets traded and bought out, he will most likely re-sign with the Lakers. He is a known KG hater. I remember reading an article by Peter Vescy after game 4 of the 08 Finals. Peter sat next to Ron. During the first half Ron was clowning KG basically asking why KG was not being his usual loud, intense, trash talking self. After the game Ronny was sad because the C's cameback.

Ron has always wanted to play for the Lakers. There was also a story about how after the Lakers were defeated in 08, Kobe was all alone in the showers washing away his tears. Supposedly, Ron walked in the Lakers locker room and told Kobe that he wanted to play for them.

If the Lakers make any kind of trade and one of their former players get bought out, I think they would re-sign with the Lakers.
