With the potential of a 1-2 month time frame for Marquis being out, obviously there will be a hole in the bench, and a bigger hole when it comes to wing depth.

Quis is a unique player who brings a lot of versatility to the lineup, If possible I think it would be smart for Danny to try and find a somewhat similar player to fill that void as best they can.

I just got off of the Trade Machine and looked at different scenario's.

As much as i like the kid, Luke Harangody is expendable.

A move that I think would be excellent and would work according to the trade machine is:

Luke Harangody to New Jersey  in return for Quinton Ross

I feel this is a plausible trade that could happen in reality.

Ross is a similar player to Marquis as far as style of play, really on both ends of the floor. Obviously Marquis does it a little bit better, but I really like the thought of Quinton Ross as a wing option of the bench, while Quis is down!

What do you all think?

No! we can do better... As much as most people would hate it, BBD and nate should go!

Davis is our best player off the bench, and we close a lot of games with him. No way do you trade Davis.

With Quis out it only helps us... Von gets more deserving playing time, West will be back soon (von or west can play the 3 or 2). Luke is also available to slide at the 3 or 4 position. Lat but not least Semih gets to play more also depending on the lineup Doc uses.

1st Option:
Nate
Von
Delonte
Glen
Shaq

2nd Option:
Nate
Von
Delonte
Glen
Semih

3rd Option:
Delonte
Von
Luke
Glen
Shaq

etc... I like our chances  ;)

the problem with option 1 and 2 is that delonte never played a sf  before
even if I think he can make a decent job, That will put his flaws and expose him and hurt him more than help him, so i say absolutely not to Delonte as SF.

With option 3 the problem is luke

so i dont like any of the 3 really

Q. Ross might be the worst offensive player in the association.  His TS% is under 40% for the second consecutive year.  A shame he never added anything to his game after leaving the Clips.

This trade doesn't help us.

Terrible idea, you can/should not EVER put Luke and BBD in with Shaq at the same time! I can not see that working defensively nor offensively! Shaq needs people who can spread (knock down shots) the floor... how many games has Luke looked remotely capable of that, 1? This is about to get ugly, really fast. Quis doesn't just make baskets, he can distribute the ball and play solid D... you think Gody can do any of that at this stage of his career? If Quis can't come back... either we get some1 or our starters are going to be run ragged.

Most likely scenario is that Wafer gets Quisy's minutes and if he can't handle it then we will make a small move by the deadline.

The way Wafer has been playing, although he's undersized, I think he can have the backup SF minutes for now. Also, Luke has absolutely zero trade value. You couldn't get anything more in a trade for him than you could by releasing him and picking up a free agent.

Hopefully Marquis gets healthy and comes back sooner rather than later. He's been great for us this year. If he only ends up being out for a month then I think we'd be fine with Wafer.

Hi all,

what about trading J.O. & Nate to Cleveland for Varejao and Moon?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4tu6h5dPost trade to ESPN

Varejao for O'Neal would be tricky due to injury, but I think Cleveland would like the (possible)addition of a big versus Varejao who is likely out until at least playoffs (which Cleveland PROBABLY ;) won't play).

Although I think its very unlikely to be successfull..

Greetings from Amsterdam!

Shane Battier should be our #1 target. Bradley, Nate and a 1st rounder?

Terrence Willams could probably be had. I am not sure he is particularly valuable, since he's got a 8.0 PER playing sporadically. Additionally, his 2 million+ salary is rather hefty considering his production.

Does this guy still have believers?

It's unfortunate that they're going to have to move a quality player to make up for the injury. Even if it isn't a trade The Celtics are going to have to cut a player to make the space. Harangody, Erden, and Vafer all deserve their spot and all have a place on the future of this team... but if one of them has to go I'd cut Wafer.
