I agree that regardless of whether Marquis could be ready for the playoffs, we should not count on him being ready. The severity of the injury, the injury history and the career-long durability issues create big question marks for an important bench player, considering LeBron, Kobe and Manu are likely on the C's road to the finals.
However, despite Moon likely being cheap, he is certainly not the answer. He is no better than Von Wafer and the man is a stick. Beyond that, do you remember him being able to stick on Paul in the playoffs? Because I don't. And while Wafer certainly isn't known as a great defender, I've been impressed with his effort on that end.
I'd love to see them try to pry Pietrus out of Phoenix. I don't know why Orlando got rid of him. This guy is a strong, quick, physical player (no wonder why he gathers dust in the desert) and he can hit the 3. Sure he doesn't provide the positional flexibility that Quis does but with DWest/Wafer/Nate that flexibility isn't really needed.
So the question becomes, how do we get him from Phoenix to Boston. Plus, how great would it be to watch Pietrus shut down J-Rich before knocking down a dagger from the corner.
