From Twitter (and Danny Ainge) :

Danny Ainge says a 1-2 month absence is the absolute best-case scenario for Marquis.
Danny on Marquis: Marquis is doing well. he's moving, he's fine

It's good news that Marquis is OK after the horrible sight of the stretcher. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope he can get back in the rotation once fully healed.

Thank God. Scariest thing I've seen since that horrific hit on the Colts WR this year

1. Glad that it's less severe than what could have been.

2. We just can't catch a break with dang injuries.

Horrible news...the Magic must carry a voodoo doll whenever they play us.

I hope he is okay. It certainly didn't look good on the TV.

Since the Magic are impotent I don't think the voodoo doll would work either.  I don't know what is happening but it's not the work of Magic voodoo. I'm positive

Glad it isn't as serious as it could have been, but my thoughts and prayers go out to Quis and his family.

A lot of freak injuries this year, it's incredible. Maybe we'll have a full healthy rotation by the start of the playoffs, but I wouldn't count on it.

Well, the real key will be whether he can be back to full speed by the playoffs.

We can get by with a Wafer backing up Pierce for now; however, that's not going to cut it come playoff time.

If Marquis can't get back, then Danny is going to have to look to make a trade or pickup a buyout.

I'm glad Quisy will be ok. It's time now to pick up a wing somehow because you can't count on him being ok for the playoffs. Can we trade JO somehow?

Hopefully Marquis has a full recovery.  That's the most important thing.

As for the Celtics, let's hope that 1) Delonte is back soon, and 2) Wafer can play some backup 3 for us.

I'm not trying to joke about Marquis Daniels' injury, however it did seem that the injury occured as a result of incidental contact, but yeah -- it was scary that he had to be rushed to the hospital on a stretcher because of that.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

good to hear Danny and the doctor say Quisy should be ok in time. that's the most important thing.

in terms of team balance, Wafer should be able to supply some minutes and hopefully Delonte will be back soon to take up more minutes.

The only way we're trading JO is for a horrible contract in return.  And I don't see Danny sacrificing long term flexibility to do that.

That was really hard to watch on ABC. Glad to hear Quis is likely to make a full recovery, though.
