Who has the most expensive payroll?

I'm up to just over $79 million, which is about $14 million less than LA's real payroll (although I only have 8 players.)

I'm not quite as high as I thought I'd be.-Ricky Davis

I seem to be at $60.35 million for 9 players.

I thought my payroll would be higher than that but both PGs are on cheap deals and Dudley's contract extension hasn't kicked in yet which kept costs down.

I think Funkcity could make it to the conference finals. Boom.

lotta talent there for sure.

I feel like we're the team that all the blogs talk about, and then as soon as the national media catches up and tells everybody " we could do it" our lack of frontcourt experience catches up to us and we lose in five. 3 blowouts, 1 close game, 1 game 4 win.

DeMarcus Cousins = 8th seed and 1st round blowout. I'm sorry to be the one to tell you that, but really you should've learned that lesson during our summer match up.

Kid can dance though.

I wonder if you need quite so much talent in two similar players who are going to play a comperable amount of time?

Maybe its a better idea to just toss your lot in with one of Cousins or Jordan at the 5 and pickup a solid veteran backup that'll keep the ship.

From a basketball standpoint, I think Jordan & Cousins could coexist. Demarcus primarily running out of the high post, and Jordan staying on the block, hopefully cleaning up the scraps.

I've said it before, I just don't know who I could get to put this team over the top. All the great bigs are on contenders, so it's not like I could trade Cousins for them, and I don't think I could get anyone for Jordan who'd be a good enough compliment for the next couple years.

Yeah when you buy into a young guy that others might not value so high (for me its Ibaka), its hard to trade him, because you're so far apart in what you think you can get back.

Maybe a Taj/Deandre package for an upgrade at the 4 and a pick for a backup 5?

I wouldn't be against it, but still, I don't see who I'd get back that would be THAT big of a step up.

My biggest mistake of the draft was that I was all but certain I'd get Melo the night before round 2, and had been planning on selecting Camby. After not hearing any kind of confirmation on the trade, I decided to go w/ Jordan - mostly b/c I didn't think a Curry/Iguodala/Cousins team would be ready to compete now, whereas a Melo/Iguodala/Cousins would.

Wow, Marcus Camby would have been fantastic on your team. Fun starting five.

Currently at 9 players and $34.1m which is $30.6m less than the real Detroit payroll. I wonder if anyone has a bigger gap (insert LeBron mother jokes here).

Sixers: 69.36 million (real) - 38.17 (fake) = 31.19 million gap.  Also at 9 guys.

Another trade changes things up a bit:

PG: Nash
SG: Afflalo
SF: Ariza
PF: Jamison
C: Bargnani

I'll be bringing Casspi and Mayo off the bench, and mixing and matching Wallace, McDyess, and McRoberts with Jamison and Bargs.

Definitely an interesting team.  Your defensive wings will be fantastic, but I worry about having two very weak defensive players at the 1 and 5.  Still, with your recent trades I think you've definitely improved significantly.

Not better, but about as good as you can make them in this format.
