Why? Awful half. Celts bench set the tone playing like total garbage. Lose this one and only two up in loss column over heat an bulls. Celts HAVE to beat crap teams

This makes me angry

I'm with you, Vinnie. I should've seen this coming: the opponent, despite playing better lately, is well below .500, and the Celts are coming off a big, emotional win over the Lakers, and it's the last game of a road trip. Not excuses as far as I'm concerned, but under those conditions, that's how Boston typically plays. A bad effort so far.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Kings are getting a lot of friendly calls, getting a lot of transition points and hitting contested Js.

Pretty much. Celts getting sucked into playing on their terms and making it worse.

But playing like that for another half is different than doing it for just one quarter. No reason to panic.

They play down to teams. But this effort tonight is awful.  Turnovers and lazy defense leading to a ton of fouls...the bench is god awful

Clearly, the Kings are a lot better than what that record shows. It took 1/2 a season for them to mature and the wins against Lakers and Hornets was not an accident. I think we are in for a difficult 2nd half. The Celtics need to keep their poise and not do stupid things out there. If the Kings beat you, they beat you. They'll finish up with about 34 wins if they stay remotely at this level.

They have good talent and a good coach and area matchup problem for the Celtics.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Anyone else been having connection problems with League Pass Broadband?

Just finished the first half  >:(.  So sick of League Pass Broadband and watching sports on leagues internet feeds in general.

This makes me angry

At least you get to watch the game with Mike and Max and don't get glitches most of the time.

Combine that with how the Celts played that first half... Not good.

Contrary to what someone on here said, I don't see how the Kings are a matchup problem for Boston. This is a typical Celtics letdown game, and they probably listened to all that "best team in the NBA stuff" after beating the Lakers.

The kings have 13 wins. There is no way they win 34 games

This is a typical "we can just win by showing up" game. If they lose tonight it doesn't nullify the win Sunday, but it certainly neutralizes it.

C's are playing well in my opinion, the problem is the KINGS of all teams are playing at a high level, can they keep this up for 4 quarters? That remains to be seen. They have the second worst record in the league, they know how to lose games, not win them.

I think they are starting to learn how to win games and are going to be spoilers in the 2nd half of the season. Or this might be one of those magical tow week spurts each team goes through. 10 blocks by the Kings

I don't really buy that the Celtics "didn't show up." They were fine in the 1st quarter. The bench let the Kings out of the box and the starters weren't able to get it back. Yet.

I'll wait to see their response in the 3rd quarter before deciding that the game's over.

I guess the captain is due for a not good game. Rondo doing it all by himself so far. Nice start to the half
