OKC selects T.J. Ford with the 8.22
Nice pickup.

Solid player if he had a coach let him dominate the ball (which he can do easily enough as a backup PG).

I figured he doesn't need to play a huge role with Westbrook getting a large chunk of minutes anyways. This lack of pressure to perform should lessen the structure that Ford needs to play under, and should hopefully let him open up his game to how he likes to play.

I am surprised at how many big trades we have this late in the draft.

Seems very difficult to re-organize / balance one's team at this stage.

Interesting....

Is Brand going to play the 4 or the 5 because I don't see him playing the 4 for a team that looks to be made to run the ball a lot?

I'm putting a lot of hope and pressure on DeJuan Blair here, but I'm hoping he can perform. Also, I feel like Durant and Jamison should be able to cover any flaws of his. Hopefully..

Brand had a big performance against NY and Amare a few days ago at center in an uptempo environment.

That's a good question. What do the current Sixers do? I figured the Brand-Jordan frontcourt would resemble what they have going on.

I also wanted some insurance for Jordan at the 5.

Atlanta selects Shaun Livingston.
Are you planning on using Shaun Livingston as a rotation player (alongside Ben Gordon) or use Livingston as a deep reserve (third string PG)?

He'll be a rotation player, but probably only for 10 minutes or so per game.  He'll be behind Devin Harris, Joe Johnson, and Ben Gordon for minutes.  I wouldn't expect him to see the court in the playoffs unless there's a matchup he could easily exploit (like he did against Nate).

They start Hawes and Brand every game but Hawes plays less than 20 minutes a game and Brand plays a LOT of center for that team.

Was just looking at his logs. Looks like he's usually paired with an undersized PF in Young.

I'd probably start Brand next to Jordan, and then sub in McDyess or Wallace at PF when Jordan needs a break or has foul trouble.

Jordan is long and mobile. Can he guard opposing 4s, leaving Brand to guard opposing Cs?

DeAndre Jordan can defend PFs who play 18 feet and under.

Probably not perimeter orientated types though.

Yeah, a Channing Frye/Rashard Lewis type would be a difficult matchup for him.

Fielder offers for Bargs, will help distract me from the 13 hour workday I signed myself up for foolishly.

Bahku and Redz are up, yes?

With the 8.22, Phoenix selects Earl Clark.
