With the 18th pick, the Sixers will look to fill out their frontcourt by selecting Kwame Brown, who's actually having a pretty solid year.

hes having a prettyu solid year
seems like he finally reach his pootential that is just that
being semi solid
and benching Nazr Moahammed in a sub par team

we will see you tonight

I will save my comment about him until after that game

Hopefully for you he will be existant in this game, that will raise his value here

The Atlanta Hawks draft Corey Brewer.

Never really lived up to being the 7th pick of his draft, but definitely a solid option off the bench. Great pick. Just get him on the practice court so he can work on those 3's. Just 27 percent this year, but he can get that up.

Corey Brewer and Trevor Ariza playing the passing lanes ... wow, that is a lot of deflections and turnovers in the making.

Absolutely.  On the flip side, it's a ton of offensive inefficiency.  Both are shooting below 40% from the field.

No harm in picking Yao; if he pans out, you've gone from a playoff team to a contender next season.

Well it's down to two players, and I hope i'm making the right choice out of the two. I'll let you guys know who my other option is once someone takes him soon...but i'll go with my gut, and my taste for local players.

OKC selects Ryan Gomes

OKC selects Ryan Gomes
Already taken -- Boston Celtics pick in the last round (5.27).

Edit: The pick is not listed on the draft board but here is the link to earlier in the draft thread when IP made the pick.

To close out the 5th round Boston selects Ryan Gomes.

The way I looked at it was this way:

I have a real strong, young-nucleus. There's a real limited pool of players who I think could become the type of player who'd be able to get 10 minutes per game on my team. So I might as well roll the dice on Yao. It's a real long shot, but I don't think there's all that much of a downside.

[dang]. There's a blank spot next to Boston on the draft picks. Just my luck that would be the player I wanted haha.

I'll take Sonny Weems then.

Chuck Hayes.  The guy shouldn't be able to produce at his size, but he does.

And one of my own personal favorites. I believe Edgar calls them binkies?

Double hockey sticks, Redz, I was supposed to be drafting ahead of the Lakers for two weeks.

The Miami Heat will instead select another player their GM has a soft spot for: Austin Daye.
