Atlanta selects Ryan Anderson.

Surprised he was still there.

Very good pick.

Good player, but his defense is very poor.  He gets the occasional blocked shot, but his positioning (and often effort) is terrible.

Are you planning on keeping Al Horford at the five and starting Ryan Anderson at the four?

At this point, yes.  I would like to find a solid backup center next round, though, to try to get Al some minutes at the 4 - I still believe Horford would be much more dangerous on offense as a power forward than a center.

Ryan Anderson provides floor spacing and a decent rebounder.  He's a bad defender, but with the unit I've put around him hopefully I can hide him a little bit.

Orlando should be starting Ryan Anderson instead of Brandon Bass.

Worse still, Orlando should have started Ryan Anderson and switched Rashard Lewis to the small forward position ... instead of making that poor trade ... a move which would have given the Magic a far greater chance of creating matchup problems (Rashard + Vince as post up threats on wing + Ryan's floor spacing play at the four) for the opposition and hence have superior shot-creation when facing top defenses.

The mix of scoring and experience on my team makes me feel comfortable in drafting a younger guy that I see a lot of potential in, to play a PF/C hybrid with Elton Brand and whoever else is on the bench.

With the 18th pick, Oklahoma City draft DeJuan Blair.

Great pick, he was one of my best available at this point.  I was seriously considering him myself

I was strongly considering him at 4.3

What person on your team would you like me to find a thread on the internet about somebody complaining about there play?  We have one on here about Rondo being arrogant because he roles the ball to half court.

Edit: sorry, just saw that it was just started, I thought it was from earlier this season, also doesnt look like it has much traction but it is ironic

In all honesty, though, I think Shaq's decline in play is something that just about all of us have seen and acknowledged.  He's been in decline since November.

And yeah, I posted the link because it just popped up after you made the selection, and I thought the timing was funny.

I dunno, he still shoots a good percentage from the floor and is somebody that teams have to account for on the offensive end.  Say what you will, but he is still a solid piece to have on any team

I think he is a good fit with deron because he will get some good looks up close.

Also, one part of his game that hasnt declined IMO is his passing.  And having 3 good 3 point shooters to pass to once the defense clamps down inside is going to help my team in the half court.
