I dont want the athletes on my favorite teams to be "classy" against the opposition and anyone that works for them.

This is the kind of stuff sports writers gush about years after a player retires.

It will sound like this:

Jackie Macmullen: "The longer KG was a Celtic, and specifically after the heart wrenching game 7 loss in LA, the man grew to hate everything purple and gold."

(Cuts to footage of KG bleeding, then to another shot of KG dunking on Gasol)

"In one regualar season game, an opportunistic ball boy was asking Garnett for an autograph. His response?"

"You have a better chance of catching Bin Laden."

(Camera cuts back to MacMullen, who is laughing)

"But that was KG. And it was that burning desire to exact revenge on his hated rival that was the driving force behind the Celtics dismantling the Lakers in the 2011 finals."

We will be watching this in 10 years. I will be getting the chills remeniscing about KG and his legendary passion for the game.

If any Celtics ballboy asks Kobe for his autograph when the Lakers come to Boston, the kid should be fired.

Check out the above link to Real GM general forums. There is actually a 9 page thread about KG refusing to sign the autograph. I am not kidding. The moral indignation of people against KG is hilarious. Any other player who does this and it is a non issue. Most of these people have probably done worse by noon on any given day lol.

Come on you guys. What KG did is much worse than being charged with rape, being arrested for DWI, using drugs, etc., fathering children all over the country with different women, and so on and so on and so on. All of those things pale in comparison to telling a Laker ball boy to get lost when he asks for an autograph.

I don't have a TV in my dorm, so I have to do all my sports watching onine now (not that it makes a difference since I have League Pass Broadband), but how big of a deal is ESPN making of this?

KG always having been a Celtic sounds spot on.

He did right in denying the ball-boy. I'm proud of him. If I were cheering for LA, I'd hate him for it, which is exactly why I loud him here.

Objectively, I don't think I'd care very much for KG as a human being, and I definitely don't think I'd like him if I was a fan of another team.

That said, I love the "KG is a bully" story line, because it's clear that he's getting into opponents' heads, without having it affect his game.
