Roy and Fafnir have successfully debated the Dallas issue. Randolph: a) is not a great fit with Dirk, both in terms of their ball dominance and defense, b) is not a good fit to be re-signed there, considering Dirk, Chandler and Hayword, and c) Cuban is usually open to overpaying to get a guy this year (i.e. Butler & Beaubois) in order to take a shot at a title.
Randolph is a better fit on the Cs IMO. I also don't see the Grizz prioritizing a driving 1 and an aged 3 in such a trade, since they have long term money committed to both.
If I were the Cs, I'd do what it took to get it done -- this year's 1st for example. It's $1.5mil less the Cs would have to commit to the 2012 payroll, which is probably to management's liking anyway in lieu of 29th pick talent for guaranteed money.
