Hello. Long time reader. First time poster. Hope this goes ok. If not please bear with me.... Lately ive seen Rondo leading not only the starters but also the second unit. I think HE will designate how they play. I think Doc will play both bigs as the matchup requires. Face it as effective as Shaq can be he still needs a lot of rest . For now I see Shaq starting and Perk playing limited minutes to get back and that will transition to Perk starting once he's 100%. Im thrilled to see Perk back and can only imagine what we can do with those two both back healthy.

I think that both should be prepared to start, and that both should be prepared to come off the bench, because I can see a possible rotation, one in which the starter changes depending on the matchup in any particular game/series. I agree that Shaq probably shouldn't be the focal point on offense, but with everyone (or nearly everyone) healthy, he won't need to be the offensive focal point on the second unit. With Delonte at the point, Nate comfortable at his natural off-guard position, Quis's midrange game and Baby also in the post, Shaq could work quite well in what would be a well-balanced second unit. And I think Perk's offensive deficiencies are better masked with the starters. All that said, Rondo to Shaq is awesome, and I want to see it all year.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Yes. I imagine Doc will mix it up based on the matchup. Shaq's offense can be used effectively against LA to get their bigs into foul trouble. While Perk's defense can help most against defending Howard and Orlando's pick and roll game. Just too examples of what we may see.

It's a very good problem to have.  :)
