The Fakers may use this as bulletin board material.  I sure hope the Celtics are ready to back this up.  I have no doubts if they come to play and play Celtics basketball They will get the win.  But they have to play as a team and play with energy and focus.

Yeah - you have a point. But I think that Boston was destined to win in 07-08 even with less of a free throw discrepancy in that game you mentioned, with Bynum healthy or with Ariza healthy.

You are right, though. Time to let it go. But it is just something about Laker fans that I love to see them upset - especially at our expense. I don't wish bad on them or anything, but seeing them lose just makes me happy.

not sure who would have won that series if both Bynum and Ariza was healthy and the freethrows favored the Lakers.  I think we would have won it if that happened but the series would have gone to 7 games instead of 6.  Im just happy Bynum and Ariza were hurt and we stomped on them in game 6

I wish that Bynum and Ariza were healthy in 07-08. I think Boston proved in that game in LA (110-91 Boston), that they could beat LA with a healthy Bynum and Ariza.

I won't ever forget that game - the same one where Odom went bully on Ray Allen and tackled him into the Laker's bench in frustration.

Perk rendered Drew ineffective in that game. Ariza was a non-factor.

To LA's credit, though - they had not been gifted, er, given, umm...traded with MEM to get Gasol, yet. We had not faced a Laker team with Gasol.

But this is why this is such a Great Rivalry. I love it! I wish Boston and LA played 10 times a year.

we are in their head becuase we have won more championships than them and we are threat to their title count.  as long as we are a threat to them the flaker fans will open their fat traps and continue to hate

I remember reading their Silver Screen and Roll Blog last year, and they had the nerve to share OUR game preview with MEM. This was the first meeting with them in the regular season last year.

Like Boston and LA was just another game to them.

They couldn't even give US, their hated rivals, our own preview?

I've never seen CelticsBlog share ANY previews, much less LA's.

i agree however I hate bringing up stats like this becuase Flaker fans can do the same thing when it comes to 08 finals... we cant be small like them. we need to stand up man up and not dwell on the past.  The Lakers won it all last year..thats fine.  we had a chance to close it out in game 6 when both Perk and Bynum went down and we blew it.  The Lakers won it fair last year lets just look to kicking their ass this year
