Well, I think if they need a roster spot, they will make a trade rather than cut someone (although it will basically be the equivalent of cutting them).  As for who would be the victim, I think it would largely have to do with who they were signing, and the position they played.  If they sign a wing, I think Wafer would be the guy.  If they sign a big man, perhaps Harangody.

Ultimately though, I think this is all very unlikely unless someone very good becomes available for whatever reason.

if we could get Rip after a buyout for a vet min I would do it in a heartbeat, but like others said I dont think he is going to be bought out. Im guessing Detroit will find a trading partner, they wont get an expiring for him but they should be able to get some value in return. I really don't understand what the coach in Detroit is thinking by benching Rip. Yeah, hes got a lot of mileage and isnt the same player he used to be but he is still either the third or arguably the second best player on the Pistons.

barring a season (or career) ending injury to KG or PP, this team doesn't need to make a move.  The 15 players we have right now under contract are the same 15 that will finish the season.

It's very unlikely someone that would represent a drastic improvement to the bench will be bought out or cut by there current team where Danny would be absolutely compelled to get rid of someone.  Nate's play lately has (understandably) inspired a lot of trade talk but the return of Delonte should address that.  If Delonte is back and Nate still stinks the joint up, he'll be passed over for Wafer as the backup SG.

A little early to be tossing out the 1st round pick that can play solid D, especially since he has that guaranteed 1st round contract.

He has a 2 year guaranteed deal.  He also has the potential to build a little value (if not a lot).

I think he is a guy who could concievably moved to make a roster spot, but they would want at least a 2nd rounder for him (and its still doubtful they would sell low on him now).

Personally, I think Wafer is still the #1 candidate if West comes back healthy.  While he had a couple decent games, he has not proven to be a reliable enough player, and he would move to the end of the bench once West is back.

They won't move a talent like Bradley for a roster space. They'll cut Harangody or Wafer first.

The only way they'd trade bradley was for legitimate talent to help this year, or if they're getting another first round pick back.
