No way Delonte gets bought out because of his injury history. He has way too much upside.

Besides, they could have cut his non-guaranteed contract up until like two weeks ago and they didn't, so they definitely aren't buying him out now.

Only Wafer and Harangody are possible buyout candidates. Unless something big comes up, like Billups (after being included in a trade) or maybe Rip, I think we stay put. Maybe Ainge shops Nate/BBD, but I doubt that too. I think everyone likes this team how it is, we just need to get Eddie Lacerte some help!

Actually, because of his injury history, he may be more likely to be bought out or waived just because he may be more likely than Wafer and Harangody to suffer a season-ending injury.

I predict that the Celtics won't make a move until they have a chance to assess how West and Jermaine O'Neal recover from their injuries.

Harangody probably needs to develop a solid three-point shot to be more than a marginal NBA player.

I'm pretty confident West will be back and effective this year.  JO is big question mark.  Assuming everyone is healthy Delonte is the most talented player off the bench and right up there with BBD and Shaq as being most valuable off the bench.  Only way West gets cut is if he has a major setback that could force him out until the playoffs or later.

I can't believe so many people think he is the obvious choice to get cut.  They must not be true Celtics fans who watched him play here his first go around.  He's good enough to start for probably half the teams in the NBA.

I agree with all this and just want to add to it that Ainge loves Delonte. No way Delonte gets cut.

I'm not too worried about cutting Wafer.  Even when we need his minutes, Doc isn't always confident enough in him to go there.

I think West is going to permanently knock him out when he comes back.

If there's a way to upgrade, Wafer is expendable.

It's a pretty obvious financial thing.  The players whose contracts expire after this season are Perkins, Davis, Daniels, Wafer, and West.  Harangody, like Erden, is on a contract that is guaranteed through next season.  Wafer and West are signed to the smallest contracts and are less essential to the bench than Daniels and BBD.  Thus, they are the most likely players to be cut if an upgrade can be  found.

This just points to the unlikelihood of a roster change, because you need a player better than either Wafer or West to be bought out and willing to sit on the Celtics bench for the minimum when there are probably some teams out there that still have an exemption they can use to pay a player more than the minimum.
