What an unreal team. And they have been almost 100 percent healthy from the beginning of the season. I don't see anyone beating these guys.  :o

They will lose more than 10 games.

They've had perfect health for the most part, that likely won't hold up forever. Their schedule gets tougher in the second half of the year, and finally Pop isn't going to go for a record once they've locked up home court.

dont see anyone beating them in the post-season? I disagree, Boston matches up very well against San Antonio so does LA. The Spurs aren't a great defense this year either.

Is a good racket if you can get it. You're either right or you were just "jinxing".

Do you really think they're going to stay healthy for the whole season?

I don't.

Timmy's got to miss some time, and Manu probably will at some point as well.  Once they hit 50 wins or so, they'll struggle to maintain intensity.  I expect them to finish with 65 wins or so.

I also have a feeling the Spurs have big "Patriots" potential, in the sense that they might own the regular season but then fizzle out sort of quickly in the post-season, either due to age or because they just aren't really built for grind-it-out playoff series.

Their starters haven't missed a game.  One of them is due for a season ending injury.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

That's going a little far, I think.  Every team doesn't lose a player for the whole season due to an injury each year.

But they're due for some guy to miss a few games, at least.

Wasn't being completely serious, but not every team starts the same 5 for half a season either.

At the very least, I expect Pop will rest Tim, Manu, and probably even Tony for long stretches towards the end of the season once they've gotten to 50-55 wins.  I doubt he pushes his team very hard to get much more than 60 wins.

In any case, 65 wins should be more than enough to lock up home court throughout.

Honestly, do they need to rest any of the Big 3? Parker is still in his 20s. Manu/Timmy both play around 30 minutes a game. I think that if they have a serious shot at 70 games, they'd go for it. I don't know that it's really taxing them all that much with the way they've been playing.

It's all health related. There's very little chance we'd have as many losses as the Spurs do now if KG and Rondo had stayed healthy, let alone Perk. Take Parker out of their lineup for 11 games and Duncan out for 9 and they'd be well into double digits for losses.

I would expect a slow month Feb to only see them kick it back into high gear come March and April.

He is a scary thought though, SA usually cruises till All-Star break before cranking up the play.  Imagine how scary of a challenge they would be if that is the case this year.
