Kevin Love 26 straight double-doubles, Blake Griffin 25 straight. Can annyone stop this guys.
I think DHoward is not gonna come here in 2012, but i hope Danny bring us Kevin Love...

Kevin Love is a 3rd of 4th option on a team, if hes a 1st or 2nd option, your team wont win. Hence, the timberwolves.

Sorry that had nothing to do with your post, I just disagree with people thinking Love is a superstar or franchise player.

Interesting question.  I'm going to say that Love's streak ends first, with him being held to single digits in points.

I'm going to pick Blake Griffin to edge out Kevin Love in the double- double contest those two have going.

On an unrelated topic, How sweet would it be to see rookie Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers defeat the Los Angeles Lakers tommorow afternoon? It would be like seeing Harry Potter defeat Lord Voldemort were Griffin to get the best of Kobe Bryant and make Clippers fans temporarily forget about the countless disappointing seasons that have plagued the team's history. Regardless of which team wins I'm sure Blake Griffin will play a great game tommorow. Looking forward to catching some of Blake Griffin in the NBA dunk contest during this year's All-Star break.

Im gonna go with Griffin to win this too... Hes the real deal. For some reason I dont put a lot of stock into the whole Kevin Love thing. Hes playing great great ball for the Twolves, but who else is going to get rebounds on that team? Certainly not Darko. I would hesitate in building my franchise around Love, Griffin on the other hand thats a no brainer for me.

I'd say Love.  He's the more dominant rebounder and he'll always have enough chucking opportunities to get over 10 points.  Eventually Blake's gonna have a 9 or 8 rebound game.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Jimmy Butler
PF: Pau Gasol
C: Yao Ming

This.  At some point Blake will have a game where somebody on his team actually grabs a significant portion of the rebounds - probably when Kaman comes back.

Love would be a great PF along a center like dwight Howard. They would be dominate on the boards and Love can spread the floor on offense while Howard works in the low post.

Howard could be a UFA in 2012
Love could be a UFA in 2013

It would be a dream come true if the C's somehow ended up with them to team up with Rondo.

I will say it will happen to both on the same day.

Neither. Whoever gets injured first will lose...I think it's more interesting to compare the two:

In my opinion...

Love is a much better 3-point shooter and free throw shooter, and gets more rebounds (Might get a few more boards due to Darko not being a particularly great rebounder, though).

Griffin has a flashier game, with flashier dunks...but I think that he is similar to Love, although he is definitely stronger and more athletic that him. He is able to go to the basket and finish stronger than Love, and, given the choice, I would generally prefer to throw the basket to Blake on the post. Because Blake goes to the basket more, he averages about 2-3 more free throws than him. Also because he goes to the basket with so much strength, his Field Goal percentage is higher than Love's, at 52.0%, vs 46.7% for Love. Another important fact is that Griffin is a rookie, and that's big because he will most likely increase his numbers and skill set in the coming years.

Both awesome players, and both players any team would love on their squad. I would still slightly take Blake, but K Love is still the man.

Blake Griffin

22.0 Points
12.7 Rebounds
3.4 Assists

Kevin Love

21.5 Points
15.7 Rebounds
2.4 Assists

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
loves team is complete garbage so he's always gonna have more oppurtunity.
This guy is the 2nd or 3rd option on a championship winning team.
He's like lamar odom playing for the cavs right now. He'd do 20 and 15 every night.
Slightly overrated in my opinion but he's making the most out of the Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ty minnesota situation.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Looks like Blake blinked first, although I would hardly call it a blink with 29/8/6, and a win.

KG was on some pretty crappy Wolves teams but his teams usually at least made it to the playoffs. Kevin Love seems to get his numbers but it is pretty empty when you only have 10 wins. I agree with you he is a 3rd option on a winning team.

Blake = 1st option on championship team (like Lebron, assuming he continues to improve)

Love = 3rd option on championship team (like Chris Bosh)
