Amare and Rose are just as deserving as KG and Rondo. Amare may be even more deserving than KG considering the # of games missed by KG.

Either way, I do believe Rose has been better than Rondo this season by a hair. I don't have a problem with either of the two starting over KG/Rose.

Another way of looking at it is that Rondo's been struggling with health issues for much of the season and has still played as well as Rose.

That is another way to look at it if we are talking about signing a guy or trading for him, but I would stick to actual performance in an argument like this about the ASG.

Doesn't matter to me though since I just vote for 5 Celtics, no matter how they are playing.

Or you could look at is as Rondo has missed many more games than Rose and Rose has been able to perform at a high level for the complete season.

So now players should be punished for getting injured? It is not as if he missed half the season so far.

I would understand this view if he missed most of the season so far. So because Amare was lucky enough not to get injured then that means he deserves it more? I guess I don't think that is right unless he has been out for most of the season.

Did any of you guys stop to think what these guys are working with on their teams? Even though Noah and Boozer being added to the team help, Rondo has much more to work with, and you can't really argue that (both Chicago and Boston are dealing with injuries). D Rose is clearly carrying his team more than Rondo is.

Rondo was one of the injuries... But when he's playing he's averaging a double double, leading the league in assists, and is top 5 in steals per game... but because Rose averages more points he does more to carry the team? Come on man, did you see how this team works without Rajon? Be real.

I don't know if punished is the correct term, but they should be at a disadvantage.

If LeBron missed the first three months of a season and came back in late January, assuming he doesn't get selected by the fans, would you expect him to be selected by the coaches if he only has 10 games under his belt.

Productivity and games played both play a role in who makes the ASG.

Man, i hope to see 4 Celtics in ASG, along with Doc. I think Rondo, KG and Truth are lock, and hope to see Ray Allen in his 10th ASG. Ray is averaging 17,5points with 51,2%FG and 47,3%3pFG both career highs (by far). If starting five remains the same i hope 7 reserves are Rondo, Felton, Ray, Pierce, Garnett, Boozer and Horford or Bogut.
