i dislike when boston comes out and doesn't have an interest in playing...they did it against the wolves, bulls and tonight.
Every loss isn't because they "weren't interested in playing". Sometimes you just get beat.

Clearly celts don't care about the one seed.

What was Shaq's numbers vs this small team?  :'(
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

they were clearly uninterested on defense tonight. the rockets have had wide open shots the entire game

If they played the whole game like they played these last 3 minutes, this would have been an easy win. Goes to show you that they were playing lazy all game, and thought they could turn it on whenever they chose to. Just a lazy effort, and a team with a lazy mentality right now.

Yet to see a loss where people aren't crying about how they don't care.

They didn't have great intensity no, but they've also matched the Rockets in every area of the game except three point shooting, the Rockets have taken quick threes and made them.

Sometimes a team gets hot outside and burns you.

Nope, Celtics just arent as good as we think.

Its obvious from tonight that;

Brooks is a better player then Rondo.
Landy is better then Ray.
Hill is leagues better then Shaq.
Battier is equal to Pierce but has better defense.
Scola is leagues and bounds better then Baby.

Blow it up.

Clearly celts don't care about the one seed.

they don't have the youth (consistent energy) or health to get the 1 seed.  i've said this before, but this team isn't that different from last year.  it was probably unrealistic for us to ever really expect them to challenge all season for the 1 seed.  just like last year, injuries and lack of energy are catching up to them.

i think 2 seed or maybe even 3 seed are most likely for this team.  they'll probably finish with a few more wins than last year (55 is my guess), but I wouldn't expect any better than that.

young, quick, athletic teams are gonna get us, especially when we're tired and the other team is riding some hot shooting.  we just have to accept it as a characteristic of this team and hope they can turn it on in the playoffs again.

Turnover!!!

Back from the dead!

Although, I think the ref saw the 16, but the shot clock might have been at 22-23 after the initial foul.  This might get reversed.

EDIT: Yup.  2 seconds to get it over.

Yeah I'm sure they would love that coveted fourth seed again.

You would never know looking at all these comments that the Celtics have the second best record in the league despite multiple injuries from key players all year.

10 points and two rebounds, he still doesn't look very good. At least compared to early in the year.

We need to forget about Shaq playing well except occasionally for the rest of the regular season and hope he is rested and healthy enough to turn it on in the playoffs (kind of like Sheed).  Just be thankful Shaq doesn't jack threes.

I'm hopeful that Perkins coming back will allow them to rest Shaq more.
