Read a couple threads suggesting Carl Landry being avaiable and one about keeping BBD or Perk.
Obviously, my choise without doubt is keep Perk, trade Davis while his value is high(ish).

Carl Landry will not be resigning with the Kings. Davis on the other hand would in my opinion as it could be his 1st real payday for a team that he would start consistently next to Cousins. Here's a couple ideas

Landry and Casspi for BBD, Bradley and Gody + draft picks
OR
Landry for BBD straight up

Either way, Landry come in to be KG's replacement and a more dependable 6th man. If we could get Casspi, he'd be amazing as he reminds me alot of Peja with some defense ability.

Last, I agree Bradly and Gody have little to no trade value, as do our draft picks, but depending on how high the Maloofs think of BBD, they might take on one of these 2 ideas.
Can't stop, Rondo!

Glen Davis brings a lot more to the team than let say a Carl Landry type of a player. Glen works well with the Celts system defense and can play/defend the 5th spot. He can defend D Howard, Duncan (we we have to see it to believe it in tomorrow's game) and used to defend Shaq (including injuring Shaq's thumb in Cleveland  ;D).

Landry is a better rebounder and also taller than BBD.. He's also good enough defensively, so i'd definitely go for it!
If we can package BBD + quis/gody+wafer (+picks and/or bradley) for Landry and Casspi/Donte Greene that would be awesome!

aren't BBD and landy, like, the exact same type of player?  only BBD has been on a successful team, has thrived within the celtics' system, knows his role, etc..?  i'd rather have bbd

We need a PF more than a C this year.

Shaq, Perk and JO can defend the 5.

TP for the thread idea.  I'm fine with the Landry for BBD trade straight up, and think it would likely benefit the Celtics.

Landry is better in just about every statistically category when you factor in efficiency than Davis.

Landry has a better: eFG%, TS%, WS, OWS, DRtg, ORtg, FT%, and a MUCH higher PER.

I love Baby, but Landry is a significantly better player.

if you could get casspi for bradley and change in the deal -- tempting. if it's straight up -- seems like playing with fire unnecessarily. glen's a better player than landry right now.

The problem with Landry with our team is that'd he'd kill our spacing. I suppose we could pair him with Jermaine/KG for most of the time he plays.

Yea, I suppose that's true.

I also factor in that we're going to have to re-sign either player in the off-season anyways. Going forward, I think I'd much rather have Landry than Davis when we start to drastically reduce KG's minutes, and moving forward as a starter.

Landry's already proven he can be a very effective starter in the right situation. Baby's played well in his spot starts, but he's also a black hole on offense that falls in love with the jumper too much.

I don't think Landry can be a building block going forward with Rondo, so I don't like the move overall. Especially since I think the Kings would ask for more besides Baby.

I would trade Baby straight up for Landry without hesitation. Landry's got a bit more athleticism and above the rim game which would make the bench a little more explosive.

I'm not saying he'd be a main piece, but I'd feel much more comfortable going forward with Landry than I would with Davis.

I think Landry is a better player, but I don't think I'd disrupt chemistry during the season.
