Dang it.  We're seeing the return of Black Hole Davis.

I'm not a big fan.

You're seeing him being the one left wide open because everyone else is covered because Rondo doesn't have to be guarded.  They're giving Glen that shot.  Can't blame him.  Blame Rondo for not being a threat.
Yeah, Glen is going to have to take a lot of shots tonight.

That is what the defense is giving up and BBD is a solid midrange shooter.

Needs to mix it up a tiny bit more. Someone needs to help him get an easier shot near the rim ... help get that jumper going.

BBD is about a 40% jump shooter, maybe a little less.  Even when he's wide open, I've got to think that there are higher percentage shots than a 15-to-18 footer.

If BBD actually passed a bit, it would make the offense a lot more versatile.  If he feels the unquenchable need to lead the team in shot attempts, he should at least take higher percentage shots down low when guarded by Bonner (like he did a few minutes ago).

Basically, just because you're open doesn't mean you need to shoot.  BBD misses that shot about 60% of the time.

Once again Pierce showed up to compete.  I love how much of a competitor he has been.. and as of the last few years he's learned to adjust his game to whatever the team needs (instead of just scoring).

that is why RONDO is so much better a pg than parker, does parker ever pass..? PP..!

Agreed, but rondo still needs to shoot a little more when they are off him by 10 feet or more

The Celtics are really missing Perkins this game.  Perkins can keep up on that pick and role, and would block Parker on that spin layup most of the time.  Perkins would also help on the glass!

I think someone tells you this every time, the C's coaches explicitly tell the C's not to do this most of the time. The shooter has to get back and prevent the opposing guards from cherry picking.

I agree..!  his shooting is looking good too, much better, now if only someone would rebound his shot. (or just follow to see if he misses or not!).

That doesn't change the fact that he's the one they're leaving open.  He does pass, but a lot of times when he gets the ball back, it's at a point where he has to shoot it or create a 3 second violation or pass it to someone with only seconds left, then you'd be screaming at him because he didn't take the shot.

and i reply to you the same way, i play 5 times a week, player coach now for 10 years, dern good too, I am a rebounder, no one is going anywhere without the ball are they. Who said "no rebounds no championship" not me, it was PAT RILEY, who knows way more than me about hoop.
