Here's some nostalgia for you long-time fans:

The last time the Twolves beat the Celtics was on Feb 11,2007, as the (24-27) Twolves prevailed hosting the (12-38) C's 109-107.

C's starters were Pierce (game high 29), Gomes, Scal (0 pts in 37+ mins), West, and Jefferson, with Perk, Rondo, Green, and Telfar having a nice game off the bench with 36 pts on 11-20 FG.

Twolves were led by Ricky Davis with 28, KG (26/11), Blount, Foye, and Hassell - but the game's 2-pt winning margin was arguably the fts scored by (trivia answer) Mark Madsen...

Almost 4 years later, the Twolves would love to have a chance at 3 games under .500, while the C's are 2nd in the league.

This one should be a cruise - but as we have learned, anything can happen when Bennett Salvatore is on the court...

Speaking of the refs, here's a history/preview:

Tonight, Salvatore is lead official, with Courtney Kirkland and Eli Roe.

This season in games involving any of these guys:

Celtics are 2-0, with both games involving Kirkland (@ Knicks, vs Wizards). First game this season with Salvatore and Roe.
Twolves are 1-5, the win hosting the Pacers.

Last 10 games:

C's are just 19-11, 7-9 in Boston!

The breakdown is 5-5 Salvatore, 1-5 at home, 6-4 Roe, 2-3 hm, and 8-2 Kirkland, 4-1 hm.

Fortunately, the Twolves' last 10 with these guys is:
5-25, with only 2 road wins.

Salvatore 3-7, Kirkland and Roe 1-9.

Watch your manners, Doc!

It's interesting just how many times Garnett has missed playing against the Timberwolves since he joined the Celtics.

Perhaps a Timberwolves curse is in effect here?   :P

#Celtics Paul Pierce said he turned his ankle. It's a little tender, but it did not swell up so that's a very good sign. @GLENDA_G_

Weird I read I think it was the Herald and he said it did swell up, it was Pauls quote.

That little fadeaway J from BBD looks very nice when he takes his time with it.

When he rushes, bad things happen. Almost always out of control and not squared up to the basket.

This team seems to play down to the level of competiton for 3 quarters, then "flips the switch" in the 4th. At least thats been the story so far this season.

Its better then losing in the 4th isnt it?

Big Baby as our #1 offensive option.
Terrible offense.
Terrible defense.
Terrible rebounding.
