"Optimism" now moves into the "Realism" category. ;)

He hurt it as he placed his leg before going up ... his feet were not set straight, and his right leg was at an angle from the knee down as he placed it ... I really can't see a knee injury happening that way. Possibly a ligament pull, but I still lean toward a muscle strain/hyper-extension.

Here is the angle and I think where it happened, looks like it could have been the knee, no? But they ruled it out so *pause* all we can do is hope for the best.

Maybe, but I would think it was more likely a hyper-extension/pull of the calf muscle. We'll know after the MRI, but let's cross our fingers. ;)

are you sort of talking to me about this for some strange reason..?

as I said a few times last night, that picture showed absolutely nothing indicating a knee injury.

We optimists just rarely get such opportunities, Bud. :)

check the game thread from last night, I had commented multiple times on that photo not showing any evidence for a knee injury, as had others. No one says you were the only one to think so, but you gotta take responsibility for your comments.

Big relief!!

I was scared to find out "KG out for the season" when logging on the blog, what a relief... let KG rest as much as needed even with all our other injuries.

Oh, sorry then,....but at first i wasn't at all, then second thought you were trailing me...but didn't see why..that is all.   i mean, i had no way of knowing what was wrong with kg, still don't, only hoping for the best..but when i said it last night, along with a lot of others, 2 or 3 guys started that sarcasm stuff....i was alluding to them.....I am glad for the backup..believe me....i don't start or hardly even follow anyone....i am not here for that. So, tp, thanks, and HAPPY NEW YEAR to ya, and all the other good guys here.

Two weeks, huh? ;D Sweet!

If it was up to me, he can take off until Jan 30. He should be 100% and conditioned by that time, hopefully.

Must send that team on Jan 30 a strong message!

Absolutely agree that this has probably been the best possible outcome considering how it looked.

I wonder what the mood would be like if he'd simply picked up the calf injury during the game, without the gut wrenching, OMGpleasedon'tletitbe moment ???

At the end of the day though, despite the relative minority of the injury, KG is still injuired, so I'm still upset :(
