  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I think verajou would be great for the celtics. Real nasty, gritty tooth n nail type character that would fit like a glove into our defensive scheme.
This will NEVER happen tho...
there is no way that anyone is giving up AV for JO.
would you?
hahaha.
I like bringing cousins over from SAC and putting him in with the veteran squad and turning him into a man.
6 months in the celtic locker room would sort him out really quick.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I know people love to talk trades, but do we have to use every single injury or game loss as a springboard for panic and doom?

Sorry, but I'm loving this team we have, and KG was walking without even any limp yesterday, (according to Dickerson), so let's stay positive and accept the fact that injuries will happen, and give players the time and patience they need to get back to the parquet.

When healthy, there's not a team in the league that will give us much trouble, so let's make getting healthy the focus, and not trading away the deepest team we've had since 1986.

I don't think J.O. for A.V. would be a panic trade on our part; that's just a solid on-court basketball move.  I'm one of O'Neal's biggest defenders, but Varejao is just a better player.  Of course, his contract is tough to swallow, and by adding him, I think you'd almost be eliminating the chance of Perk returning as a free agent.  In a vacuum, though, I'd love to see AV here.

Varejao for Perk is probably an upgrade on the court for the team this season, as well.  I just worry about what happens to team chemistry if Perk is sent out.  He seems like a popular guy, and this starting lineup has a synergy.  I wouldn't disrupt that.
