Dickerson texted Tanguay that they were testing the muscle around the knee. This scares me .....

Very scary. A lot different than a calf muscle.

Was this when KG went to the locker room or after the game?

That they were testing the muscle around his knee?

That makes a lot more sense to me.  That did not look like an actual calf injury, but I could definitely see it being the small muscles around the knee.  I also don't believe Doc ever said it was his calf.  He just said it was muscular.

This is looking incredibly similar to the injury 2 years ago.

The same Greg Dickerson who said "Tony will re-sign with the C's" Not a great source.

We should definitively know tomorrow after the MRI.

Not sure

Tanguay just said it again at the end of the show that the knee structure was tested and everything was fine, but they were looking at the muscles around the knee ...

which would mean not really that bad news or can it still be bad if it's muscle around the knee? All I know is it looked ugly

Latest from the Herald says:

Quote
AUBURN HILL, Mich. — The latest word from the Celtics is that Kevin Garnett’s injury is to the outer part of his right leg — below the knee and above the ankle.

Team spokesman Jeff Twiss said it the injury is “muscular in nature.”

He confirmed Garnett will have an MRI on Thursday.

If that's true, it's probably as good as we can hope under the circumstances.

how did it look ugly?  He didn't twist anything and he didn't hit anything. His initial reaction was not good, but he seemed ok afterwards. Pierce's initial reaction to his injury in game 1 of the finals was bad too, and look how that turned out.

Well he didn't want to even land on it, not only that it's obvious he was in severe pain. It almost appeared he was even tearing up from it. As we know KG is tuff as nails so it definitely didn't look good....ugly whatever you want to call it.

Hoping for the best.
