Unless Rasheed is in better shape than when he ended the playoffs last year, this is just a very poor idea.

I agree. Really surprised to see the amount of people who want to sign Sheed out of his hiatus.

Unless he's been working out non-stop in secrecy (fairly unlikely I think) then he is not going to be properly game conditioned this year.

Can't see this working out. Persevere with JO/Semih instead I think.

Wouldn't you rather have Sheed on the floor than Semih?  Semih is just as bad a rebounder, a far worse defender and far more turnover prone.

Those are all valid points/comparisons. I think though that Sheed's time out from the game could well have seen those very skills - rebounding, defending, holding onto the ball - regress considerably.

At this stage though I don't think anyone would really know who would be better in the long run out of Semih and Sheed, partly because we haven't seen them alongside each other.

Sheed is a high IQ player, and even at 70%-80% in shape he would be a threat.

He would be great for us right about now or even at the halfway point of the season to transition him into the playoffs. I know a lot of you guys are making him out to be old and washed up.

but when push came to shove, he got it done when it mattered most. And that was in the playoffs last year... most notably game 7 when coach Rivers said I believe it was "Rasheed died for us out there today" or something along those lines.

For all of the hate Sheed is getting, I remember him being one of the few players in Green who actually decided to show up to Game 7 last year. I'll take a player who plays with some heart on my team any day which is more than I can say about some of the players currently on our roster...
Never stop believing baby~

HIV walked up to Cancer and was like "You suck. You're a Sheed."

So Cancer tweeted HIV called him a Sheed and tons of other diseases got ticked off.

"You should never call someone a Sheed. Sheed isn't funny. My mother's cousins' best friend's brother in law got Sheed once.  It's a terrible thing" said Lou Gerhig's disease.

Others made the point that Cancer did kind of look like Sheed and play like him too.

Later HPV walked up to a disease everyone respected and was like "Yo man. I want you to know I meant no disrespect to Sheed patients"

Others made the point that the better comparison was maybe HPV because you can live with it for a long period of time without thinking about it and then it flares up briefly in game 7 during the finals making people think Sheed isn't that bad a situation after all.

In the end people agreed it was best not to ever call anyone a Sheed since Sheed has many symptoms other that what HPV presents.
