This trade deal would be consisting of 3 teams in lew of the recent news Houston may be trying to parts ways with Yao Ming & the obvious Carmelo Anthony wanting out of Denver. (Trade Checker Approved)

Boston receives: Carmelo Anthony

Houston receives: Ray Allen & Kendrick Perkins

Denver receives: Yao Ming, Chase Budinger, Avery Bradley Boston's 2011 1st rounder & Houston's 2011 1st rounder.

DENVER also gets injury insurance due to Yao Ming's injury which softens the blow of the trade being if he is healthy next year they got a more than solid deal out of it with a Franchise center and 2 1st. With very good potential in Chase Budinger & Avery Bradley also in the fold. Alot better than just losing Melo to Free Agency.

BOSTON gets a potential HOF while disposing of another in Ray Allen while also losing maybe arguably the best interior BIG in the league in Kendrick Perkims. But this trade helps solve the potential logjam at Center and potential crys for playing time at that spot. The good is Boston adds another centerpiece in future development of the Celtics with Rondo & Anthony, while adding yet another dynamic offensive player who we can lean on with Pierce and say here is the ball take over this game when the offense bogs down.

HOUSTON gets all around better frontcourt and backcourt which I feel could make them a significant player in the playoffs. That system fits Ray Allen game and would allow him to flourish and see his PPG go upwards of maybe 4-5 pts. a game. Kendrick Perkins solves the interior center they been tremendously lacking since Yao's imjury & he would not be too upset playing just miles from his hometown. A lineup of Perkins, Scola, Martin, Allen & Brooks is a top 4 lineup out West Behind Lakers, Mavericks & Spurs.

The reason Jermaine O'Neal wasn't added in place of Perkins was nobody would want him & his contract the way he is looking.

I realize I am in the minority, but I am in no way interested in seeing Carmelo Anthony in a Celtics jersey.

At some point we do have to look towards the future and get Rondo future help or he is going to be here alone. That is the only reason it should be discussed.

You are certainly in the minority because that might be the most appealing trade Ive ever seen on this board...

Denver would never ever go for it though. They pretty much get no value in return. They arent going to get rid of Melo solely for a salary dump.

"Denver receives: Yao Ming, Chase Budinger, Avery Bradley Boston's 2011 1st rounder & Houston's 2011 1st rounder"

Yao is done and Denver can get much better offers than Budinger and Bradley for Melo.

How about Glen Davis and Nate Robinson for Carmelo if he agrees to a extention with Boston?

I think you do that trade even if he doesn't sign an extension. If he signs an extension, we would have to give more.

The Yao trade is a really bad idea since Denver would be better off finishing the season without Melo that with losing Melo this season and being stuck with Yao's contract.

Why would Denver trade for another brittle big when that has been their Achilles heal with Martin and Nene?

Paul Pierce and Carmelo Anthony cannot play together. This trade, while good for the future, would ruin the Celtics' championship hopes this year.

it would seem like a fair trade for the C's from a talent perspective but PP and Melo both play SF.  With Ray gone, who starts at SG?   PP?  he's not quick enough any more and I wouldn't move a healthy Delonte into the starting line-up while keeping either PP or Melo on the bench.  Throw in the fact Melo isn't known for defensive commitment and I'm not exactly thrilled with deal.

I'm all for looking to the future for players to go with Rondo in 3 years but not at the expense of a title this year.  Acquiring Melo would require a major rework of the team this year and I'm not sold that Rondo and Melo in 3 years is a championship contender.

I wouldn't do it, and I actually believe Anthony is capable of playing SG at least in the short term.  The chemistry on this team is too good, Perk is too valuable (especially against teams with size like Lakers).  Ray is playing very well this year, too.
I don't think Anthony is a championship type player as far as guts go at this point in his career.

The trade does not make much sense except for Boston.

I actually think it's harder to find guys like Perk than Melo.  In two years when KG just isn't KG anymore, and JO is gone, and Shaq is averaging 5 and 5 and a third of a block a game, but still making good commercials this wouldn't seem like such a good trade.

Maybe if I had a crystal ball and knew we'd keep Big Baby here and that he'd be great and Semih would be better than he is now and that we'd be able to sign someone decent, but that's a lot of ifs and I don't have said crystal ball
