Jermaine and Nate for Augustin and Stephen Jackson. Not sure I want to make any moves, but this was the most interesting one I could come up with.

Charlotte unloads Augustin along with their biggest contract  (save $10M).

Boston gets a true backup PG who can pass and shoot, and Jackson would form a terrifying trio with Pierce and Allen. We would be really locked in at the 1,2 and 3 spots once West returns. Jackson has extra value on a contender IMO with his experience, size, and intensity.

Rondo / Augustin
Allen / Jackson
Pierce / Jackson

+ Daniels, West with the spot minutes (Wafer and Bradley to the end of the bench)

Thoughts?

Danny didn't make a mistake signing JO, imo.  They loaded up on bigs for a reason.  There is no way they are trading one away.  JO will help us in the playoffs.

I know MJ has had a spotty record as a GM, but Charlotte hangs up the phone.

Also, does JO have any trade value? He might actually need to play a few minutes this season before we shop him.

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

Charlotte is openly trying to dump Augustin, clear salary, and rebuild. They also want a center that can play now.

I think this is a decent deal for them - Stephen Jackson has 3 yrs / $25 on his deal and is already 32, and they aren't trying to win now. They're trying to blow it up.

With Robinson and O'Neal they fill the positions, lose a lot, and clear house after next season.

I don't think Jackson has much value around they league with that contract, except to contenders. Other teams with better offers will be trying to pry Wallace loose.

As for the Cs, I think they don't tinker unless a deal blows them away, especially if they expect West to come back strong. But Jackson is intriguing...

You might be right, but he does seem a little more expendable with Semih, Shaq and Big Baby all making contributions at the 5 and Perkins coming back in another month or so.

Jackson would be absolutely perfect as our 6th man. He could be trusted with big minutes without worrying about playing both sides of the ball. And finally we could have a Posey replacement b/c Jackson can play the 4 when we run small ball. His defense is gritty and fearless, and his shooting stroke is sick..

I just don't know about trading Nate yet. JO is completely expendable in my opinion. But instead of DJ and N8, how about

Jackson and Najera = JO,Wafer,Bradley and Marquis

We still take on their salary, but they get a few low salary players on 1 and 2 year deals. We get our new Posey, and Najera can play some SF/PF about 5mpg.

Nate,West,Jackson,BBD,Shaq/Perk
Semih,Najera - Sick nasty bench that would solidify that banner

Can't stop, Rondo!

Could not have said it more perfect myself.... Plus JO doesnt get enough credit for his well above average defense.

Playing the "let's made a deal/trade" game is always fun, but in reality I wouldn't want to mess with the groove this team has going right now.  Even if they hit a little bump in the road during the season, say lose 2-3 games in a row, I still wouldn't want to mess with anything.  Even when our injured players return, I think they will gel and mesh quite fine after a few games under their belts.  This season feels different than last, like they actually give a hoot about all games, whether it be against dominant teams or the lesser squads of the league.

I agree. JO is one of the few players on this team that still has the talent but is a question mark because he simply hasn't played. No reason to send him packing (or Bradley, Harangody or anyone else). Let's see what this team can give us when healthy. It was interesting to hear Doc on WEEI yesterday, as he said he doesn't expect anything from Perk this year because it will take a full year to get his confidence back in his knee. With that said, it does seem unlikely to deal any bigs if Doc feels anything Perk can give us besides fouls and some minutes will be the status quo this season/playoffs.

J.O. is still needed by this team. There’s a reason Danny got both O’Neal’s AND brought Semih over.
