  • Rondo = Good

I really do feel for little Steve. I really want him to get a shot at a ring before he's Farve's age.

I can hardly think of a good team that wants or needs him.

Maybe Orlando. Na. The Knicks with Dantoni? No. Felton looks great.

The Lakers? Na. Screw the Lakers.

The Heat?  Yes the Heat. They need one more All star to win it all, maybe two.

So send Mike Miller, Haslem, House, and Carlos Arroyo Plus two #1's to the Heat for Super Steve and watch them fight over the ball, It would be fun to watch.

10.7 million compared to 10.3 million for Nash.

 Nash has two years left.

Post Script.  Celtics still win it all, and Crush the heat in Five games. Just looking for a little Comp, cause are team will win it this year.

a) I love Steve Nash and would hate to see him on the Heat

b) Steve is at his best when he can dominate the ball and work his magic.  The same applies to Wade and LeBron.  It would make no sense to add Nash to that equation.
I don't know. Averaging 20 assists a game might appeal to him.

Didn't everybody say LeBron was going to average double digit assists on the Heat?  Yeah, hasn't really worked out that way so far.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Steve Nash already had shots at a ring. His teams just ended up losing before getting to the finals.

It is possible that the style that makes him great is also what will keep him from being on a team that is the best.

Raptors? He would work well with Bargnani…

I don’t know how it’d work. Maybe involving Peja’s expiring, maybe Jose..

All i know is that Nash would love to play in Canada, and this lineup is pretty decent

Nash, Derozan, Weems, Evans, Bargnani.

Just thinking aloud.

The Raptors aren't winning anything anytime soon, not even with Nash.

Steve Nash has never won anything… so what would be the difference? A team can’t win with Steve Nash’s huge defensive hole in the lineup.

I hate this argument, plenty of teams have won with players who are liabilities on one end of the court. (Lakers with Magic late in his career for example, or Ben Wallace on the other side)

Plus the Suns have won plenty during Steve's years there. They just haven't won a title.

The Hawks.

Hawks Trade: Mike Bibby, Jamal Crawford, 1st round pick
Suns Trade: Steve Nash, Grant Hill, Channing Frye

Why for Suns?
-If this new "so sorry about the whole Hedo thing" move goes to crap like it probably will, they'll need to rebuild. This trade effectively takes Nash's salary off the books after this season, and it gets them out from under Channing Frye's overpayment, keeping all contracts under 2 yrs.

Why for Hawks?
Bibby is a pretty bad starting PG now, and Steve Nash is a pretty good one. The Hawks can't seem to utilize their athletic squad in a way that translates to wins, especially against good teams. Nash can do that. Grant Hill will also bring a steadying influence to the lockerroom, and a much needed backup multitalented wing player to help keep the offense consistent even when Johnson is out. On top of that, Channing Frye will really stretch the floor, allowing Atlanta to toy around with their lineups in the frontcourt.

The Suns would need to effectively give up on the next 2 years, but that ship is coming to port anyway.

The Hawks lineup would look like this:

Nash/Teague
J Johnson/Hill/Jordan Crawford
Marvin Williams/Grant Hill/Josh Smith
Josh Smith/Al Horford/Josh Powell
Al Horford/Frye/Zaza

That's an 11 man rotation that really makes the competitive.

It is tough to say because Steve Nash could go anywhere just about and make the team better, but this would be pretty perfect.  The athleticism Atlanta has would be so better utilized with a creative PG vs a shooting one like they have now (nevermind that Bibby has looked bad this year), and Steve Nash is of course at the top of the list of creative PGs all time.  Imagine him throwing alleys to Josh Smith?  Yikes.  Not sure how the trade would shake out but if ATL could get Frye too that'd be really nice for them.

Good post.

The best place for Nash is Phoenix.
