I'd trade Perk and Bradley for Oden.

ha yeah right. i feel bad for oden, but no way i'm trading for mr. glass knees.

A year ago I would've said you're crazy. Now, I think you're sadly right. Nobody trades a significant asset for Greg Oden at this juncture.
I would deff take a gamble on him through free agency if he becomes available. I truly believe that he would be successful in another uniform, especially with the Celtics where big men have had great success. Example: Semih Erden, not a single person expected to do well  before the season started and he's only shown that he can play in this league and do well. Yes he is found for good shots, but who on this team isn't? Erden has some nice post moves, like his spin around layups/dunks.

But sadly I dont see Oden succeeding in a Blazers uniform. :(

Well, if Oden can stay healthy he's 1,000 times the player Erden is.

well if he's healthy then within a year or two, I'd put him within the top 10 centers in the league. The kid has shown that he can play in the limited time he's had. Amazing shot blocker, rebounder and scary presence in the paint. I'd give his shot blocking ability on par with Howard. Imagine what he'd be able to do in Celtic green.  :o

With easily the deepest team in the NBA, and the dominant team in the East, (despite injuries), I don't think Danny and Doc are feeling any pressure to make moves this season ... quite the contrary, in fact.

Trust me...I did that...a lot...in 06/07.

My friend don't let sportscenter brainwash you. contrary to what they say, players like Melo and Lebron who put up video game numbers are actually NOT god, and don't just automatically win just cus ESPN says they're so great. We keep provin that a real team will take down 1, 2 or 3 individuals i mean look how we made Lebron run away like a little girl, the whole league's trynna team up and take us down lol, sick of the big bad celtics. Reloaded roster, a better-by-the-day rondo, and a big 3 thats lost a lot less after 4 years than the 'experts' thought, add that all up and this team gets its 2nd ring this year, no matter where melo or gilbert go

Not with Oden out for the season.

The Celtics are too close to a title to take that risk. Maybe sometime in the future.

Exactly.  And they'd be crazy to make such a move for Oden at this point.

What pressure?

Who would we trade? Everyones hurt!
Who could we get that would make us better?

No, I see no reason to do anything right now. If it looks like JO isn't ever going to to play again then trying to talk Sheed back would be about the only thing I can think of.

Man, I can't believe I just said that.......

I agree no pressure whatsoever, most here don't think much of your trade.  Danny can consider us his pressure valves.  We are leading the East that is not pressure.  We might have some minute pressure from injuries but as long as we maintain present trajectory why mess with it?   We are winning now with half a team...

what pressure?  C's have by far the deepest team in the league.  truly a team for the ages if the team is completely healthy (or even close to it).

barring career-ending injuries in the next 2 years (and a lockout), this team will win the next 2 titles.

Trade Rondo

Rivers has already designated Nate as the starter - and Nate has been doing a great job.  When Delonte comes back, he can back up Nate.  Both Rivers and players (Pierce, Allen) have emphasized that losing Rondo has no more significance to them than losing a body, apart from his knowledge of the plays.   The tension between Rondo and the coach and the Big Three (not anxious to become the Big Four) has been obvious, and Rondo has apparently not exactly been happy.

So, hey, if the Celts really think that Rondo is just another guy, now is the time to trade him, while other folks in the league are under the delusion that he is already great point guard, with potential that still hasn't fully unfolded.  We can surely pick up a decent big and maybe even a journeyman pg for Rondo.

I don't think Danny is feeling much pressure; the Cs are playing incredibly well, and have been limited by injury.  I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a small move -- cut a role player here, sign a role player there -- but that's it.
Celtics fan for life.
